The Carpenter's Arms (circa 1965), the original pub of the same name was 300yds away and demolished in 1964.
I hope it stays in business after the Covid crisis as many pubs in East London have already gone belly up !

The numerous high rise buildings in Singapore sometimes give rise (pun intended) to unique designs once in a few blocks. This stepped design of the block caught my eye a few years back and I had it in the back of my mind to visit it one day to capture the uniqueness.
I struggled for a while attempting to locate a view which offers a good balance between the fore and background, as well as eliminating as much of the dull clouds as possible.

A surreal retirement house for Asians, we are not sure what kind, right in downtown Los Angeles, on Bunker Hill, behind the MOCA, near every important building downtown.
What happens when the elevators break-down?
Plans have been spoken about regarding demolishing these tower blocks in central Southend-On-Sea and replacing them with low level housing. It was low level housing that was demolished on a wholesale scale to make way for these tower blocks only a couple of generations ago.
