Hong Kong commercial highrise close and abstractly personal.

Taken from, Deer lake park,

Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

I went to the observation deck of 450m in height for the first time on that day. I could look around lights of Tokyo to the distant place, but was unsuitable for the photography of the wide-angle lens there because a window was small.

On January 10, 2014 in the Tokyo Skytree.

僕はこの日初めて地上450mの展望台に行きました。 そこでは遠方まで見渡せますが、窓が小さいので広角の撮影には不向きでした。

My stomach does a little churning just looking up at this building

Classic Brutalism set against an overcast sky at sunset. The Barbican’s novel design is a testament to the modern way of life in the 21st century… London style.

How I like my martinis, too.

“Highrise” captures a view everybody is familiair with: Manhattan’s skyline with One World Trade Center towering above all other buildings. However, due to the East River’s docking poles in the foreground of the image, this view is different than most vistas. © 2016 Jochen van Dijk Photography. All rights reserved. Amsterdam - m.t. Ondinaweg.

Nature City (2023) by Willem de Haan.

In a broken, dense city like Amsterdam and in a rapidly developing district like Amsterdam Noord, the pressure on public space is high. Space: physical and mental, is important for the quality of life in a city, but places for greenery, relaxation and recreation are scarce. With the work Nature City, De Haan playfully addresses a serious urban issue by depicting a possible but also alienating future scenario (ndsm.nl).
