The village is dominated by the tall ( 23 metres) railway bridge. It is part of the rail connection Tongeren-Aken, built by the Germans in the Great War (World War I). This highlevel overpass links the railway line to the longest rail tunnel of Flanders (2070 metres). The longest railbridge in the country, viz. in Moresnet, is also part of this rail connection.
The steeple of the St-Martinus church dates back to the 13th century. Reverend Veltmans (1866- 1954) is buried to the left of the church tower. He played an important role in saving the Dutch character of the Voer region. Among the old tombstones on the churchyard there is one from the 16h century. It can be found just behind the graves of an RAF aircraft crew, (their plane crashed in 1944). (Voerstreek Bezoekerscentrum) Sint-Martens-Voeren, Belgium

In the modern world large concrete silos and loop tracks have become the norm for the large grain companies. More efficient than the older wooden elevators with their single car loading, the high throughput elevators move the rewards from each years harvest to market quickly and efficiently.
While there's nothing unusual about a modern loop track, Pioneer's facility in High Level Alberta stands out from the rest due to a couple of factors. The first is this is the furthest northerly grain loading terminal in the Province of Alberta, located 1345 km (836 Miles) from the US border.
The second has nothing to do with the elevator itself, rather the track structure that serves it. The facility is located on CN's Manning Subdivision, which is 183 Miles of lighter rail and bridges that cannot handle locomotives with 6 axle trucks.
On this fall morning, six GP40-2's have spotted 104 empty grain hoppers on the loop track, which will soon be loaded with the bounty of Alberta's Peace River Country

IC 3140, an ex CNW GP50 rebuilt into a GP40-2, teams up with a Canadian cousin to load 104 grain hoppers at Pioneer's High Level Alberta terminal. The unicorn of the CN fleet IC 3140 has called Alberta home for the better part of a decade, and gives a little bit of "color" to the motive power roster.

Summer is end and totally.
Birdlife is also good to explore harvest.(soon after will post)
However, recent two weeks, I experienced a deep impression.
Accept from my friend invitation, went together to explore the Aurora.
This location not for business conduct, totally his own search.
We are seeing lake on ahead, 100% can be reflections for Aurora.
The idea was perfect!!(inside deep heart is high expectations)
So, immediately go to High Level,Alberta from Vancouver,BC. (make a round trip 3320 km almost by drive.
Plan stayed for two nights, 10pm to 3am for waiting.
Until 1:16am momentary..
Big Wow .. only I can say.. spang touch your mind and heart,
can't stop that moment..even close your eyes..
Many scene captures the moment, unable to upload one by one, I will learn how to make a video to share with you.
