So let me start by explaining what Im going to be doing this time around!

I lost interest in SP everyday so I decided Id just take whatever for my pic of the day and eachday I will have a sticky note with one of the things from my list of the things I want to do in my life.

Obviously todays sticky note is Rid myself of material possessions. I hold on too closely to my "stuff" and I shouldnt need to.

The picture is of a friend of mine. Adam Van Dinter, remember that name cause someday you will hear it again! Skribblez, check him out!!

So wish me luck on the start of my 365, I really want to stick with it this time! But Im gonna need some support :)

First of my 365 - one self portrait a day for a whole year!! We shall see!

Busy week at work, picked up 2 new projects. And made it to my pilates class this week :-)

But I did get to play too, taking some shots at work at a breakfast meeting on Wednesday. Originally they had booked a photographer (or so I thought) and then I found out at 5pm the night before that they hadn't. It presented some lighting challenges (skin tones and badly lit room) but ...SB800 to the rescue (fab Christmas pressie especially as it came with earrings too LOL trinkets and technology work for me ... thank you, Wayne x)

Plans for the weekend were changed at the last minute ... but in the end it meant that an even more relaxed weekend was in order - yay!

Have been very lucky and been given a D300 to borrow - so now I am attempting to use it - trial and error but I know that I will have to delve into the manual but it is 400+ pages long!

Pic taken indoors, no flash. Image has been very slightly cropped. Colours/contrast a little too - I wanted to bring the focus to my eye (BTW you can see reflection of house in my eye) ... but my monitor is not brilliant so it may be too much?

This... is a whole new thing... shooting and processing/editing photos on a phone. I know it's nothing new for many of you, if not most of you. But it is for me! It's been a very long time coming, but I'm finally an iPhone user! (iPhone 4s, 16GB, if you're at all curious.) This... is a whole new dimension to my photographic pursuit. Not in place of anything else... in addition to everything else. Kinda like discovering an unknown, but completely intriguing dialect of a language I've been working at learing for a while already.

So here I go. Working with various camera apps, and editing apps... on that small but oh-so-lovely iPhone screen! Dealing with workflow from mobile to desktop. Finding my way. Like I say... a whole 'nother thing... but also a whole lot of fun!

So I'm pouring another cup of coffee... and diving in!

I'VE....GOTTA FEELING!! PITTSBURGH'S GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!

Tonight is a big night for all my friends out there in Steeler Nation. The AFC Championship, Steelers vs. Jets. I was born and raised in Butler, PA, a "suburb" of Pittsburgh and I definitely bleed black and gold!

American Football is something I definitely don't get enough of (any of?) living in London. But I've been out here five years now and you sort of gradually don't miss it as much. Everytime that I go back to the US though the first thing I want to do is watch ESPN until my eyeballs fall out.

Unfortunately I can't watch the game tonight, so I'll have to wake up early to catch the replay. Off to Frankfurt for the day and my flight leaves too early. Hopefully I'll wake up and have a few "congrats" comments on this pic (and certainly not for the quality of the photo!)
