White Pelicans
I didn't realize White Pelicans were herders until i watched them do it - they gather in the water (about 20 of them) in a straight line - shoulder to shoulder - they then began to stir the water in front of them, driving any fish near the surface forward of their movement - then the ends of the line (to the right and left) began to move faster than those in the middle and they began to close the line and eventually formed a circle, trapping the fish - then they all starting eating - in this photo the are getting close to encircling the fish.

I guess the HFF could be 'Herded' Fence Friday!
But I'll take this rural farm scene and go with the standard:
Happy Fence Friday
The wild Elk are grazing at the foot of the mountains in Colorado in early winter. A few snowflakes fall. The fence at the bottom of the mountain was installed to keep wild herds from going into forests where they destroy trees by chewing on the bark.
Flicker friends, stay safe and healthy during these trying times.
A herd of dairy cows on farmland... somewhere between Churchinford and Otterford. At Taunton Deane in Somerset.
It's the time of year when baitfish start forming into thick balls and herons and egrets start playing ball. Great Egret with gulf menhaden on Horsepen Bayou.
A Victorian lighthouse in South Shields, Tyneside.
The lighthouse was built in 1882, before the North and South piers were constructed, and was first used on 30th October of the same year. It is 13 metres high and still acts as a navigational aid today, guiding ships in and out of the Tyne from up to 13 miles away. The lighthouse is also one of just a few in this country that has an operational fog bell.
My visit to the Gulf States was breathtaking. Taken on route to the Arabian Desert in Dubai. I was clearly of interest to this very talkative specimen!
My idea of a dream job would be photographing horses...this lovely group were in South Dakota just off 1-29.

Mala Mala Game Reserve
South Africa
Kruger National Park
Image was taken in the early morning light in the Mala Mala Game Reserve. Our first game drive at Mala Mala took us close to a herd of about 200 cape buffalo. The driver however was ever vigil to get us out of there if the temperament of the herd ever changed.
The African buffalo or Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a large Sub-Saharan African bovine. Syncerus caffer caffer, the Cape buffalo, is the typical subspecies found in South and East Africa. The adult buffalo's horns are its characteristic feature: they have fused bases, forming a continuous bone shield across the top of the head referred to as a "boss".
Cape Buffalo are suspected to kill around 200 people every year. They typically will charge and gore their victims and have been known to trample people as well. When you see Cape Buffalo roaming in Africa, they're usually not alone and an injured cape buffalo is even more dangerous and unpredictable than a healthy one.
Weighing in at over 1500 lbs, even most lions don't dare bother hunting this aggressive beast unless the lions are in a huge pride. – Wikipedia
