104 is climbing the second hill up to "Sable". I was at the throttle of the 119 on the other train when I grabbed this shot.

Jim K. at the throttle of the 119 at the Henry Doorly Zoo Railroad in Omaha, NE. A sharp eye can barely see the red coaches in the background from the other train running yesterday.

104 pulling out of the house with the safety popping and the cylinder cocks open.

So this is pretty much the shot I've been waiting for. I can die happy now.

This may sound weird, but I love naked mole rats. The science museum in Seattle (where I grew up) has an exhibit of them, and I've come to love and respect them as one would a distant cousin who has funny hair and goes to Star Trek conventions.

Had no idea bat's balls were so huge.

They're threatened more by habitat loss than cavities, but I'm sure the latter doesn't help.

Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao)

The red panda wasn't very active today, but at least I finally got to see her face if only for a brief moment.
