One of the things that got affected by this (still ongoing) pandemic, was public gatherings in general. Among them, car shows all over the world that got cancelled due to covid. As we are now going back to a certain level of normality, events like these are finally back. A few weeks ago a local club of muscle car owners organized a show in Deerfield, NH and more than 1100 proud owners brought their beauties to the contest. This here is a 1970 Dodge Super Bee equiped with a 7.0 Hemi V8 producing a whopping 425HP. Its name, Super Bee, is based on the "B" Body designation which refers to Chrysler's mid-sized cars like the Road Runner and the Charger. The engine has a hemispherical cylinder head (compared to the usual flat-topped one), which creates an efficient combustion chamber with an excellent surface-to-volume ration. Its shape though does allow for only 2 valves per cylinder which have to be heavier thatn in a multi-valve engine.

Today I assembled and painted the Hemi big block V8 that belongs in the 71 Plymouth Cuda. Revell car kits are pretty average, lots of flash and pin marks on parts. Also many parts needed sanding and filling due to gaps or not lining up properly.
More like Red, White & Blue.
Talk about an irresistable shot. This would be a prime example. It's an awesome illustration of the "Big Three"'. A 1990s Corvette C4, Somewhat newer Ford Mustang GT & a Dodge Challenger SRT-8 all sit side by side at a local Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep dealership.
There's one way this would be even cooler, if the third car had been a 2010 Camaro SS.
