♫ My Favourite Time of Year - The Florin Street Band ♫

Credits: Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Lis.Blog

Verse 1

Lanterns lighting up the town,

Peace on earth is all around,

Everything is calm on Christmas Eve.

There's goodwill in the air tonight,

Angels sing by candle light,

Their voices carried on the wind.

When carol singers gather round,

When I hear that festive sound,

I wanna join with them and sing!

Chorus

They sing a merry song and we all sing along,

A festive melody that tells us Christmas time is here.

See the stars tonight; they're shining bright,

'Cause it's Christmas time and it's my favourite time of year.

Verse 2

Deck the halls with boughs of holly,

Give me mistletoe; it's the season to be jolly,

Wrapping presents, writing cards, helping decorate the tree,

But there's one thing that makes it all for me.

When carol singers gather round,

Angel voices fill the town,

It's like the world is joining in!

(Noel, Noel, Noel)

Chorus

They sing a merry song and we all sing along,

A festive melody that tells us Christmas time is here.

See the stars tonight; they're shining bright,

'Cause it's Christmas time and it's my favourite time of year.

Middle 8

Christmas Eve,

Still believe,

So excited,

Can't sleep,

When the morning comes,

Church bells ring,

And he's been!

Chorus

They sing a merry song and we all sing along,

A festive melody that tells us Christmas time is here.

See the stars tonight; they're shining bright,

'Cause it's Christmas time and it's my favourite time of year.

And it's my favourite time of year

(Noel, Noel)

This was taken at Larrabee State Park the same day that I took the one of the artist painting. I think it must have been a day camp there for a field trip, because there were a couple of adults and a bunch of kids. I must have taken 200 shots there that day. I will probably post a couple more at a later date.

Today I decided to go for a more shadowy picture, I wanted to try a few new things since I have been trying to practice more Clip Studio along side with photoshop. I want to thank my love for been helping through this whole process too ♥

Years ago I added a Dusty Miller plant to our garden, being smitten with the plant's soft grey leaves. I had no idea that there would be a huge change in what I assumed was a grey, leafy plant. Yet one morning I noticed brightly colored flowers erupting all over the place. Soon the flowers were covered with pollinating insects.

Therefore, I was surprised to read that some gardeners believe the flowers are not particularly showy and they are often removed to encourage more foliage growth. I realized the plant is primarily grown for its attractive silvery-gray leaves rather than its flowers, but given the importance of supporting those pollinating insects, I'll heartily embrace the bright spots of color.

Now that's that you call a 'full-helping'!

A helping hand is a helping hand, no matter who's it is.

Kindness comes in all shapes, sizes, colours and flavours.

It restores your faith in humanity.

Gustaf Adolfs torg ("Gustaf Adolf's square") is a town square located in central Gothenburg, Sweden. It was named Stortorget (the Big Square) until 1854 when a statue of the founding father of Gothenburg, king Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden was raised. Surrounding the square are the city hall, the bource, including the law court extension and the main harbour canal of Gothenburg.

Gustav II Adolf (1594–1632) led Sweden to military supremacy during the Thirty Years' War, helping to determine the political as well as the religious balance of power in Europe. His most notable military victory was the Battle of Breitenfeld. He was poised to make himself a major European leader, but was killed at the Battle of Lützen in 1632. Within only a few years of his accession, Sweden had become the largest nation in Europe after Russia and Spain.

Dressing to go out to dinner, I fumbled with the clasp of my necklace.

"Honey, could you help with this, please?" I asked, seeing my husband descend the stairs, behind me, in the reflection of the foyer mirror.

Bending my head down a little, giving him access to the clasp, I felt him expertly connect the links, lightly kissing the nape of my neck before taking a step back.

"My hero," I thanked him, smiling and raising my head.

"Exactly what a man likes to hear when he enters a room," joked my husband, coming into the foyer -- from the living room!

My eyes went to the mirror.

No one stood behind me!

Since it’s January and temperatures are dropping, birds like this little Robin are working overtime just to stay warm. During cold snaps, small birds can lose up to 10% of their body weight in a single freezing night, so your help can quite literally be a lifesaver.

this little redpoll slammed into the window yesterday afternoon! I have cd's hanging if front of all my windows, but she still went down! i didn't think she was going to make it ... I held her in my hands for about a half hour, blowing warm air on her - then her little legs started to move, so I put her in a small box - after about another 10 minutes, she got up on the edge of the box, took a look around and was gone:-) my husband was holding the little one when I snapped this shot!

The 22 by 60-foot mural, painted over three weeks by internationally-known Etobicoke artist and Queensway Cathedral congregant Olaf Schneider.

The mural portrays 11 sets of hands holding a nest containing three eggs - the latter representative of people in the community in need of help, Schneider said. I believe the artist's hand is the one with tattoos:)

One of the lovely things about travelling in China is the way people wear traditional dress, esepcially to historic sites and on major holidays. This shot was taken in Beijing's Round City in Golden Week.

The imperial Round City is a garden next to, but independent of, the famous Beihai Park, and not far from the Forbidden City. It contains several historic buildings.
