Seagulls are fondly remembered in Utah for helping Mormon settlers deal with a plague of crickets. The seagull is now the state bird of Utah and a monument in Salt Lake City commemorates the event, known as the ‘Miracle of the Gulls’. Seagulls are very clever. They learn, remember and even pass on behaviours, such as stamping their feet in a group to imitate rainfall and trick earthworms to come to the surface. Seagulls’ intelligence is clearly demonstrated by a range of different feeding behaviours, such as dropping hard-shelled molluscs onto rocks so that they break open so they can eat them, and following ploughs in fields where they know upturned grubs and other food sources will be plentiful.

Bella is such a helpful cat that one of her favourite things is assisting us in making the bed. She insists on jumping between the sheet, duvet and blanket to check on the bed-making standards.
And of course she likes lying on the bed once it's made.
This grey squirrel was helping itself to my bird feeder on very icy cold winter morning. I liked the small layer of ice on the post the squirrel was posing for me on. I really liked how much detail in its coat came out in the capture.

I've always been a lover of shelf sitter.....the one elephant is designed to hang on shelf .....and their trunks are locked together to hold her........never seen anything like these before.......so think my friend will love them.....
What does it take to understand that guns kill? Why do we insist upon having guns? Can we think, instead of being governed by fear?
Violence only adds to more violence. Start with eliminating poverty and creating more equality thereby eliminating squalor, indignity, hunger, death and desperation. Try a little love, it goes a long way and does not create violence! History repeats itself, violence has never been and never will be the solution, helping one another in a peaceful way does make a difference, the damage has been done, so it won't be easy but it is better than violence.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜

A pair of SD40-2s assist turning the 19 cars and steam locomotive 2102 that came up from North Reading to Jim Thorpe with 750 passengers on a sold out train. This location is MP 120.9 on the Reading and Northern's Lehigh Division Mainline at the junction with the new bridge to the right that they just backed over after pulling the train up over the old CNJ bridge.

Tuesday was my first day back at work and it all went very well. One of my favorite things to do when I first get to work is to fold all the clean towels that the techs who work overnight launder. That morning I carried several loads of clean, but unfolded towels, out to a counter in the treatment area and then started talking to someone. When I returned to the towels, I found Alexander Hamilton had tunneled his way into the middle of the pile and had fallen asleep.

Dressing to go out to dinner, I fumbled with the clasp of my necklace.
"Honey, could you help with this, please?" I asked, seeing my husband descend the stairs, behind me, in the reflection of the foyer mirror.
Bending my head down a little, giving him access to the clasp, I felt him expertly connect the links, lightly kissing the nape of my neck before taking a step back.
"My hero," I thanked him, smiling and raising my head.
"Exactly what a man likes to hear when he enters a room," joked my husband, coming into the foyer -- from the living room!
My eyes went to the mirror.
No one stood behind me!
(Thank you to Bailey for the lovely gown, necklace, and hair!)
