My friends at my new job rock.
With my typical MO, I kept my birthday a secret and took every opportunity to partake in trashing everyone else's workspace for their birthdays. As my birthday approached, my new boss figured it out pretty quick (both because she takes every opportunity to recognize her team and because she has access to the HR paperwork). I had an afternoon cookie break with the folks in IT, however I kept it quiet from those who weren't already in the know.
Didn't take long though before they figured it out. After some digging they found out when it was about a week later and decided to celebrate it on the same day a month late. Completely unbeknownst to me they decorated my old cube (as I'm working in a temporary location right now) and had my boss call a fake meeting for me. Thinking about a recent request for a project extension, I start gathering up my information and thinking about how I'm going to approach it. As I turn the corner to go to the conference room I notice the Hello Kitty balloon and immediately realized something was up.
My desk was decorated how you see it and everyone was gathered around a delicious peanut butter cup ice cream cake and sang happy birthday to me. While I'm usually not a fan of my birthday and was pretty happy when this one slipped by mostly under the radar, I thoroughly enjoyed the surprise and the warm feelings from my friends at work. It was just another little reminder of how lucky I am to be working where I do and with all of the wonderful people there.

My sis-in-law's birthday cake. All cake with the exception of the arms and little cake which are fondant.
My new necklaces! I got the first one from my daddy for x-mas, the second one in a swap, third from daddy for x-mas, I bought myself the fourth one, and the last one i got too. I am waiting for another one but it's from the Barbie collection. I'll post a pic when it arrives.

Sometimes I put a coin into the gashapon capsules of HK (or something else I like) and today I got these two HK horoscope magnets so nice. Somebody has the piscis one?
