The 2016 'Back to the 80s' Provincetown Carnival parade. Hello Dolly meets Devo. (Wow, the last Devo guy on the far left looks freaking amazing.) This is one of my favorite photos from the parade.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day and weekend. So thankful for those who had given their all for our freedom.

Hello Dolly is a dark, tiny jazz and whiskey club on Pontocho Street.
Pontochō (先斗町), a narrow alley running one block west of the Kamo River between Sanjō-dōri and Sijō-dōri, is a traditional Hanamachi (花街) district. Its origins as a Japanese courtesan, entertainment and geisha district date to at least the 16th century. Today the area, lit by traditional lanterns at night, contains a mix of expensive restaurants, geisha house, tea houses, and bars. The name Pontochō is said to be a portmanteau of the English word "point" or the Portuguese word "ponto", also meaning point, and the Japanese word meaning town, street, or road.
I failed- the casters all fell out. I am too fat for the chair and it is now broken beyond my ability to repair... no money for a new chair at the moment, either...
