A 2nd year piece, loosely based on a reference photo of Barbara Streisand from Hello Dolly. The technique combines an under layer of oil with colored pencils and some gesso on top.

HELLO, DOLLY! is the story of Mrs. Dolly Levi's efforts to marry Horace Vandergelder, the well-known half-a-millionaire, and send his money circulating among the people like rainwater, the way her late husband, Ephraim Levi, taught her. Along the way she also succeeds in matching up three other young couples. An ebullient and irresistible story of the joy of living, glittering with happy songs and light comedy, it is sure to provide an entertaining evening out for the entire family.

Went to the Shubert Theatre to see the ABSOLUTE best Broadway show I seen: Hello Dolly with Bette Midler. It was a fantastic show...had a great time...even cried just a little bit; I liked it that much.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day and weekend. So thankful for those who had given their all for our freedom.

Had a little free time and an empty downtown area to play around with this camera set up some more.

"Hello Dolly!" sing-a-long with Carol Channing at the Madonna Inn, San Luis Obispo, CA.

By 1969, when Hello Dolly! was released, the producers realized that movie musicals were on their way out in popularity, so they decided to appeal to younger audiences by amping up the XX factor. The results didn't help though, and the under 30s turned away by the thousands!

(I created this a while back on a whim, making sure to use actual dialogue from the film to make it 'authentic'.

Enjoy!

The 2012 Provincetown 'Space Odyssey' Carnival parade. This was a cool group of guys in Star Wars costumes who had an entire singing and dancing routine. They sang a parody of 'Hello Dolly', something like 'Hello Darth'. I wish that I could have recorded their performance but there was too many people. I captured these stills after they finished.

I can't wait to show you what happens with Dolly and a bunch of mirrors. Don't say I did not warn you. You can see you, Dolly can get you! Even in the dark! You can run you can hide, but Dolly will always FIND! Don't close your eyes, I am still here!

Now tell me I'm Pretty!
