I don't know Manhattan neighborhoods very well, though if I lived there I'd probably have a hundred albums of them. This is the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, which also is known by the more realtor-friendly name of Clinton. In New York lore, Hell's Kitchen is a rough neighborhood of crime and poverty, but that hasn't been true since at least the 1980s. Hell's Kitchen is sort of like a New York Lincoln Park, a long-gentrified neighborhood of multi-thousand-dollar rents that only the old remember as scary. It seems to be undergoing a building boom, as I think that glass building is new, and there are construction sites all over the place.

Kids from the Greenville community came out in costume for the Heller Fall Fest to trick-or-treat through the Furman residence halls, play games in the UC, and enjoy snacks and rides on E-Field.
