my version of the "love is hell" album cover www.onefortytwo.com/IMAGES/Music Pictures/Ryan Adams/PartII/LoveIsHell.jpg
Finding a waterfall in Michigan that is NOT in the Upper Penninsula, seemed impossible. But, hey, there's a dam in Hell.
Hell.
The image I have created is meant to be symbolic. I wanted to recreate the protest of a monk who set himself on fire, in the Buddha position. He poured petrol over himself and then set himself on fire in protest of the Vietnam War. He did not move or speak. He went somewhere in his mind
The fire is meant to be a portal into different frames of mind. We all have different faces and masks that we put on.
The secret chaos with split personality that is hidden inside the head.
I feel some of us are silently screaming, cruising on this playing field, seeing some of the sheer madness.
I am in a silent protest I can’t tell you what I know You have to find the truth in your own way.
Just keep an open mind and use it.
I created this image by doing several long exposures. How I created the ring of fire was by using my Rowdy Bear Zippo, and drawing a circle with it.
Hell, Grand Cayman
Who doesn't want a postcard from Hell? And it won't even cost you an arm and a leg!
Cleaned the head, primed and painted - gloss rather than flat as I grabbed the wrong can! Shortened the handle to get rid of bad wood - but had some small chips as I set the head - must have been a bit "not straight"!
Wedge is the original s-shaped one, I added the wood wedge to make sure things stay tight.
Boiled Linseed Oil on the handle.
A highly motivated group of daa staff and some their families attended Hell & Back on Saturday 14th June in Bray. They were joined by a couple of thousand thrill seekers taking on Ireland's toughest 12k course. Set in the lovely Belmont estate it comprised of 29 obstacles spread on the side of a hill & each one tested them mentally and physically.
