Hells Gate is an abrupt narrowing of British Columbia's Fraser River, located immediately downstream of Boston Bar in the southern Fraser Canyon. The towering rock walls of the Fraser River plunge toward each other forcing the waters through a passage only 35 metres (115 ft) wide.

HIGHWAY TO HELL 5
Hellion Rising are one of many bands performing who hail from Newcastle they have the venue jumping around straight away with 'Goat Charmer'. Matt Adamson has an excellent voice and demenour a he encourages the crowd to get involved - something they are more than happy to do. Giovanni Camillo plays a great solo before retreating to the back giving the stage back to Adamson who negotiates a wordy verse before one of the best blood curdling screams of the weekend! 'The Beast' has the band use every inch of it the stage with to their advantage . 'Just For Tonight' from their first EP has Camillo standing legs apart(ala Rick Parfitt) thrashing his guitar smiling looking he's having the best time before he's joined by guitarist Davey Reay in some twin guitar harmonics. To me, even this early, it was clear that they are one of the bands of the weekend and if they don't play Glasgow again then it's a terrible shame. Wrapping up with a storming version of Andrew WKs 'Party Hard', they leave the stage to rapturous applause – and whatever the final results, they are winners in my book!

The United States Congress designated the Hells Canyon Wilderness in 1975 and it now has a total of 217,927 acres. Idaho contains approximately 83,811 acres. Oregon contains approximately 134,116 acres. It is managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service.
Hells Canyon Wilderness is a subset of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area (HCNRA), which straddles the border of northeastern Oregon and western Idaho. Split into two distinct halves by the Wild & Scenic Snake River, approximately one-third of HCNRA is designated Wilderness. A small portion of the Wilderness in Oregon is managed by the BLM.
The Idaho side of the Wilderness is smaller than the Oregon side and encompasses the Seven Devils mountain range. The Wilderness stretches South from Pittsburg Landing for approximately 31 miles along the Snake River.
On the Oregon side, the higher elevation areas are characteristic of rocky slopes and grasslands laced with 'stringer canyons' and groves composed of Douglas fir and ponderosa pine. The lower elevations are dominated by grassland benches with steep canyons and ravines dissecting the isolated Oregon-side. Two National trails are found at various elevations: Western Rim/Summit Ridge Recreation Trail at the upper elevation, and Nez Perce Historic Trail near the Snake River. Species of interest are Rocky Mountain Elk, bighorn sheep, mule deer, and chukar.
Additional information about the Hells Canyon Wilderness, and all the other BLM Wilderness areas in Oregon/Washington, is available online at:
My father's trip to Europe, 1944-1945: Dad was in the 2nd Armored Division, he started at the big arrow in the channel and ended in Berlin. I had this poster on the wall in my room when I was young but it was lost. I was very glad to find this one online!

A warning sign to remind people to be vigilant against forest fires adds a twist to the ending. This sign is displayed at the Tillamook Forest Center in the Tillamook Forest, Oregon. Most of the center is dedicated to understanding the history and causes of the various burns that occurred in the 30s-50s and the reforestation effort that took place. It's a really wonderful exhibit.

new footage taken from the upcoming release of my game holy hell.
you can download the current beta for free and play it on real gba with a flash card or emulated on a psp or pc using a gba emulator here
how to play:
holy hell is a mix between a vertical shoot em up and a "falling block" style puzzle game.
you guide a ship through 40 short levels trying to free the universe against the invasion of the killer blocks.
d-pad - move your ship
a-button - rapid shot
b-button - change colour
r-button - colour bomb
there are 6 different blocks:
the green, cyan, red, yellow blocks are the blocks you can destroy using the right colour shot (press A button), pressing b button you switch between the colours disposable. also there are Black blocks that are invincible and Ending blocks which, when touched, make you jump to the next level.
if your ship has the same colour of the blocks it pass over, instead of destroying your ship, it will be sucked in by the ship's energy field filling your power gauge on the right of the screen.
when your power gauge is full you can release a colour bomb witch destroy any blocks of the colour your ship is at that time.
to gain consistent score, is necessary to chain the more blocks of the same colour continuosly, without shooting at different coloured blocks, dodging them and clearing the screen with bombs.

This area known as Bumpass Hell is the largest active geothermal feature with fumaroles, hot springs, acid and mud pots in Lassen Volcanic National Park. It is accessed by a 1.5 mile long trail (3 mile round trip) with a 500 foot rise followed by a 250 foot drop into the thermal area. It got its name from a pioneer Kendall Bumpass who discovered the site in the 1860s and brought a newspaper editor to see it and while there Kendall broke through the thin ground crust in the boiling mud/liquid below and burned his leg so badly it had to be amputed -- he later described this place as "hell".
Inside the ground, in the most deep caves where all is darkness and fire dwells the fearsome creature: The HELL TROLL, that eat Trolls Orcs, Goblins, Dragons and any other living creature. His breath melts the steel, its tail is like white hot steel whips, his skin is like a rock and his horns can reduced to ashes his enemies.
