I don't have much time for Lego now. I think I'll focus on small commercial projects like this one.
Special thanks

Lake Tahoe was surprisingly warm in the shallow waters of Sand Harbor State Park. The sandy bottom made for an easy tripod setup in 3 feet of water.

A little something I threw together quickly. The spiral was quite hard to do due to lack of pieces and classic cheese mosaic issues. There is some sticky tape over the spiral to make it more playable.
Being an active World of Warcraft player, it is a surprise how little direct influence it gives me. Hope that changes.
Here is a picture of the Hearthstone's light-up feature. It is not all that well done, but with proper hiding of cables in one's sleeve, it might look good.

A site that is nearly 15,000 years old, unknown to archeologists until the late 1980s. The Eagle Rock site is out in the middle of nowhere on BLM land. After a rough road that is not advisable for any vehicle with a low clearance and a bit of walking, you come upon this archeological dig. www.gjsentinel.com/outdoors/articles/clues-to-the-past

The state park was silent, the sites empty and barriers up for the winter. But with promising skies, I parked at the gates and made my way down the steep grade, through the woods to the only open area of the park, at the water's edge. Geysers of steam curled off the water, not yet frozen, pretending to be warm. For a brief window the sky lit up through a gap on the far horizon, but shortly after rising, the sun disappeared behind the overcast.
