20 Marzo 2014
Hannah Trigwell was born 28 October, 1990, in Leeds, West Yorkshire. She started her musical career at the age of 17 and took to the streets of Leeds to play her music for anyone that cared to stop and listen. Now, just 23, she has gone on to amass thousands of fans all around the world and has sold records as far as Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the U.S.A.
Hannah’s online following continues to grow; her YouTube channel containing videos of live performances of original songs and covers has gathered over 6 million views and gains over 10,000 hits per day! It was here that Boyce Avenue - Alejandro, Daniel and Fabian Manzano first discovered Hannah and her cover of Katy Perry’s - Teenage Dream.
Hannah has also been featured numerous times in showcase radio performances on BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Raw Talent and Radio Aire, many of Hannah’s original songs have gained local air time especially her debut single ‘Headrush’ which was released in April 2011 and was celebrated with a sold-out launch at The Cockpit, Leeds. Off the back of the success of this release, she again joined Boyce Avenue on the UK leg of their 2011 European Tour, playing Birmingham HMV Institute and the Leeds Cockpit.
In the summer of 2011, Hannah Trigwell won Best International Unsigned Act 2011 in the St. Helier Cider Online Music Awards and weeks later Hannah released her highly-anticipated second EP, ‘Not Enough’. ‘Not Enough’ was welcomed with an incredible response from fans and gained great plaudits from the press.
Hannah again supported Boyce Avenue in November, playing at the Leeds Cockpit and the Birmingham HMV Institute. Hannah and Boyce Avenue’s musical relationship was cemented and within two years she had secured a loyal fan base both online and at live shows having already headlined ‘Live at Leeds’ at The Cockpit as well as playing along side the likes of Josh Kumra, Jake Bugg, Wretch 32 and Angel. In 2013 Hannah played a sold out UK tour with American YouTube musician Alex Goot. Hannah will release new original music as part of an EP in Spring 2014 with the backing of 3 Peace Records. Haven't put up any show photos in a while... These are from Cinematistic - a movie themed show on the Grand Princess where I work.
This one totally needs a better name - any suggestions would be awesome! :-)

Had a few of these recently. Been feeling weird like I'm not myself started the other day sat looking over youtube videos and got a head rush, but the feeling stayed felt like I was looking at my self in third person. I'm not really in to any religion but I see my self as an agnostic I want there to be life after death but I just don't honestly believe in it (I see myself as part of the science generation nearly everything can be explained). But this feeling is almost like my sub-concious or soul, whatever you want to call it is becoming separated from my body at times. I was going to include this as part of my 365 but other things have happened in the days that I wanted to include. So if it happens again I may stage a shoot.
Made on photoshop CS5 with my portrait from day 72 (www.flickr.com/photos/jonnycairns/7887956972/in/set-72157...)because I liked it so much, love the weird symmetry the layers make. Might try out a few different colours.

As you may know, after seeing her speak in 2008 at SXSW and WordCamp, I was rather determined to invite Kathy Sierra to keynote the 2009 NMC Summer Conference. I was a fan long before this as a follower of her blog Creating Passionate Users. I had donea parady of her graphic style in my Twitter Life Cycle which she did kindly acknowledge by comment or twitter.
When I was at WordCamp, I had a chance to ask Matt Mullenweg how he managed to get her as a speaker, he told me all their communication was done via twitter direct message.
So I thought it was worth a try and did manage to get her agreement (via twitter, it was about 5 DMs to send me her abstract) to come to NMC 2009 in Monterey.. I knew she was a different kind of speaker then we have had before, but my gut told me she would bring us a strong message.
It paid off in many ways, mainly as she electrified the audience with her messages on the user experience and the ways we ought to help people be better at the things they want to do.
I lost track of how many people expressed thanks (one of our corporate partners said "f******ing fantastic choice!")
I am utterly thankful for Kathy for stepping out to a new audience and making a huge impact on our conference.

Moved a lot around, took out some stuff, put some new stuff in. I got tired of accidentally triggering the looper on the headrush when trying to hit the first button on my DL4, so it went to the other side of the board. The Cusack Screamer is gone (sold it), and the Tube Screamer is off the board as well (sitting in my milk crate of pedalboard stuff I'm not using). In their place is a shiny new Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet. Much cleaner, and much happier with the tone.
