La perdita mia mente Means losing my Mind in italian. Basically, I feel like I have been running around all week with my head cut off try to get ready for this trip from getting our passports completed to packing and cleaning the house. Also, Trying to get my self portrait doe each day is an added stress! I have loads of paperwork to complete before we leave too…AHH I just want to be on vacation already lol. I was inspired by another photographer on flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/ramcoror/) to do a shot like this where I am missing a body part! Assignment for Illustration 2 (Concept + Metaphors). Create an illustration for one of the phrases on the paper and incorporate the type (phrase) into the image.
My phrase was “May you live in interesting times”. After figuring out what that meant I started thinking about Marie Antoinette and the whole “Let them eat cake” thing (I know she really didn’t say it). Carrie (my teacher) thought I should watercolor.

Today I decided to participate in Bench Monday. This is my "I believe in spring skirt" - I felt it was necessary since it was snowing. In April. I did not wear these shoes outside.

Thought I'd try something a little different today. Wish my head wasn't cut off in this picture but I like it better than any of the others I took. Had to stop I almost twisted my ankle on the last jump, lol.
My grandmother invariably cut heads off in photos. I loved how she not only kept this photo, but wrote on the back "These are the twins legs."
