Trying out Photomatix - hence the watermarking.

Three exposures joined using photomatix. Shot using a new tripod that santa brought me.

This is an HDR with Photomatix, watermarked because it is a trial run. Compare with Morman Row & Tetons Sunrise - 2, below. Available at:

I am experimenting with Tone Mapping (http://www.hdrsoft.com/examples.html) with a HDR-Image(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging). This is my first image from today, but still learning. Once this bloody fog is gone I can take photo's of sunsets....

Starting to dable with HDR. This is a fake made with HDRSoft demo. This is same shot as the other tracks pics done with LucisArt.

I had never heard of the HDR style of photography until today when I saw the work of stevenarens flickr.com/photos/stevenarens/ (which is utterly marvelous). I found more information about the approach on wikipedia and also from here www.hdrsoft.com/ – you can also download the software from their too – I thought it would be good to have a little test, and here is the outcome – I know it's rubbish, but you have to start somewhere and I think it's a wonderful technique.

i transform this shoot in the HDRsoft to creat the impact on the gazzebo.. i like the way the sky react in this shoot

HDR of a neighbor's beautiful Dogwood trees blooming for Spring.

The still shots were taken by hand with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 digital camera, using it's auto-bracketing mode with exposures set at +1, 0, -1. The image was constructed and tone mapped with HDRSoft's Photomatix.

I have yet to figure out the key to good HDR image. At this point, Photoshop is still my preferred color manipulation tool.

My first attempt at HDR using the trial version of Photomatix Pro. After importing 3 differently exposed versions of the same scene into Photomatix and doing some tweaking, I settled on this for my first try.

This is on the Hwy 89A (?) in Arizona. Somewhere between the Grand Canyon (N. entrance) and that Navajo (?) bridge, north of Flagstaff.

I just returned from my first visit to Yosemite. Wow! I wish that I had went before now. After all the rain, all the waterfalls were going gang busters. I think there maybe a few new waterfalls this spring. I have not processed everything yet but I think this may be my favorite image from the trip.

Technically, this is my first real fisheye shot (with my full-frame 5D). This is also a high-dynamic range (HDR) image with exposure bracketing of 10 stops! I have started using Photomatix (www.hdrsoft.com). It works like magic in difficult lighting conditions like this scene.

± 2 exposure on 9 shots using Photomatix.

Another HDR experiment. 4 bracketed shots produced with Photomatix HDRSoft. 10mm
