The Belém Tower (Portuguese: Torre de Belém, pronounced [ˈtoʁ(ɨ) dɨ bɨˈlɐ̃ȷ̃]) or the Tower of St Vincent is a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém in the municipality of Lisbon, Portugal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (along with the nearby Jerónimos Monastery) because of the significant role it played in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries. The tower was commissioned by King John II to be part of a defence system at the mouth of the Tagus river and a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon.

The tower was built in the early 16th century and is a prominent example of the Portuguese Manueline style, but it also incorporates hints of other architectural styles. The structure was built from lioz limestone and is composed of a bastion and a 30-metre (98.4 ft), four-storey tower. It has incorrectly been stated that the tower was built in the middle of the Tagus and now sits near the shore because the river was redirected after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. In fact, the tower was built on a small island in the Tagus River near the Lisbon shore.

The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is a 2,111-capacity theatre in Dublin, Ireland which opened on 18 March 2010. Designed by Daniel Libeskind of New York and RHWL Architects of London, it is located in the Grand Canal Dock area and the concept of the theatre was created by Mike Adamson of Live Nation and the Docklands Development Authority as a touring theatre for Ballet, Opera, Musicals and Concerts.

It was officially opened with a performance of Swan Lake by the Russian State Ballet of Siberia. It is the largest theatre in Ireland and is designed to present theatrical productions that were previously unable to visit Ireland. The acoustic, theatre technical systems, structural and building services designs were by Arup. Chartered Land were the developers and funders of the theatre and Harry Crosbie is the lease holder.

The theatre complements the larger 14,000-capacity concert venue the 3Arena, which is located across the River Liffey to the north.

The building was opened as the Grand Canal Theatre, but was renamed during March 2012 as part of a naming rights agreement with Bord Gáis Energy worth a reported €4.5 million. It will have this name until 2018 at least. Bord Gáis is Irish for Gas Board.

Which Resort do you like to stay at?

I am finally making my rounds to the resorts at Walt Disney World. Most people think the parks are the only thing to see when they come to visit here, but that's not true at all. Almost more detail has been given to the resorts you stay in than to the attractions in any of the parks. For example the Fort Wilderness Lodge here. This section in the back of the lobby area is patterned after the areas found in...

Fornebu (local form Fornebo) is a peninsular area in the suburban municipality of Bærum in Norway, bordering western parts of Oslo.

Oslo Airport, Fornebu (FBU) served as the main airport for Oslo and the country since before World War II and until the evening of October 7, 1998, when it was closed down. Overnight, a grand moving operation was performed, so that the following morning, the new main airport, located inland at Gardermoen (OSL), opened for operations as the main airport, as opposed to previously having been a minor airport.

As of 2001, the Fornebu area is being developed as a centre for information technology and telecom industry, as well as there being some housing project developments nearby. The new headquarters of Norway's telecom giant Telenor are located in the area.

The peninsula is connected to Langodden and Snarøya, which are more established areas of private residences.

The Jade Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai. As with many modern Chinese Buddhist temples, the current temple draws from both the Pure Land and Chan traditions of Mahayana Buddhism. It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea.

DiverCity Tokyo Plaza is a shopping mall designed with the theme of creating a "theatrical city space." There is a large-scale entertainment facility where you can have many different experiences, and offers a wide selection of Japan-themed souvenirs at many of its shops. With many authentic Japanese restaurants and convenient access to transportation, DiverCity is a fun new destination in Tokyo for overseas visitors!

Diver City Tokyo Plaza is located on the artificial island Odaiba (お台場) in Tokyo Bay. It also happens to be a place of pilgrimage for many hardcore Gundam fans. Gundam (ガンダム) is an anime franchise revolving around giant robots (“mecha”) known as “mobile suits”. Diver City is home to the only full-size Gundam statue in the world. Right next to the Gundam statue is a Gundam Cafe, and inside the shopping centre is Gundam Front Tokyo – a Gundam museum.
