HDR generated in Photomatix from one raw exposure, and then tonemapped three different times: twice in Photomatix and once in Dynamic Photo HDR. I spent upwards of an hour masking and editing the three images into one master composite in Photoshop.

I wish I could place this tree in the studio and play with the light falling on it. Well: here it is in its natural light
This is a pano stitched from I believe 8 frames and processed using Aurora HDR to bring out the amazing colours.
If you look closely, over the edge of the crater, not quite in the top righthand corner you can see the peak of Mauna Kea, one of the 2 volcanic peaks on The Big Island of Hawaii which is about 80 miles away.
I took this back in 2009 and thought it about time I did some work on it.
