Branches of a large Norfolk Island Pine in the middle of a large lawn, seen agant the front of the Frank Hayward House at Minda. These days, I actually work inside this building, and stepped outside at lunchtime to snap this picture.
Who doesn’t like a giant cow’s head with a crown atop it? I shot this some time back when I dropped off an old reciprocating saw for repair at the Makita Service Center nearby. When I brought it in, the repair tech was kind of pleased to see it—it's almost thirty years old and still in excellent condition. (I don’t use it much :-) I expected to leave it and come back another day, but he said, “Come back in a half hour.” I gave them a little more time, but when I returned a while later, it was all fixed. Not only that, he didn’t charge me for it! Good guys there.
