Eight ladies working in the Örebro hat factory in 1910. The photo - here shown with my colorization - by court photographer Samuel Lindskog (1872-1953) is in the Swedish Digital Museum (Örebro läns museum) archive.
My Grandmother Bertha Sias (Griffin) worked in the 1910s at a hat factory in West Upton, Massachusetts. Mrs. Bates was her boss at the hat factory.

Tioronda Hat Works located along the Fishkill Creek in Beacon, NY
Begun in 1879, the mill, like many in the area, expanded with new construction in the following decades. The last mill to occupy the brick buildings was the Merrimac Hat Company. In 1949, Merrimac sold the property to Beacon Terminals Corporation, which used the buildings for warehousing.
