This photo provides a pretty good illustration of why the GCFX "grey ghost" leasers were hated during their tenure on the CN. They came on the scene while there were plenty of great looking SD45s in operation. One quickly got the impression that any slight malfunction in a SD45 would sideline it and a GCFX would replace it. Eventually the last of the '45s were killed off. The GCFXs didn't seem to last too much longer once the "good" power was gone, but the damage was done, and some colorful lashups muted by the grey plague. March 8, 2003.

I hate the winter months yet love the snow! We got almost ten inches last night - what better activity than to go out and play in it?

You'd never guess by this picture, our poor child was neutered this past week. (He is doing fine and recovering nicely.) Happy snow day!

I love all of them, equally and entirely. They are each amazing, beautiful and talented in their own way. They all work hard at what the do. And being hated for being themselves is the last thing they need. They ALL make mistakes. And it's a learning process. Being placed under so much pressure as to being a role model for millions of children. It's not a fun life, being watched every waking moment. With people just waiting for them to make a wrong move or something. It's a tough life. And I'm sick of people HATING. There's no room to deal with so much hate in their lives. Do you people KNOW what hating can do to a person?! Seriously. Hating can cost a life. You don't have to love them, but really? Hating them? For what reason? You act like you know them. None of us do. We rely on tabloids and teen magazines. But they know who they are. And they're pretty damn proud of who they are. And let them be themselves. Let them live. Jesus, leave them alone. Hating is a hazard. And I hope one day, you feel what they have to go through everyday of their lives...and then let's see what you think of them afterwards. They endure all of the shit you throw at them. They don't deserve that. Not any one of them. Put aside your reasons to hate and look for reasons to love. Trust me, it's relieving.

These are real people, and real feelings we're dealing with here...
