With lockdown under way, our teachers came up with some fun games to play over Zoom. Grandparents, and family members all participated in small tasks, performed with the simple things readily available in their homes. All the kids were enthusiastic to complete the task as soon as possible. This fun-filled zoom session gave an opportunity to enjoy with their friends in an interactive way.

Stories teach important lessons, like differentiating between right and wrong, moral values and also help to learn about the different cultures. In the story session on zoom the story; 'The doves and the hunter' was narrated, with the help of cute finger puppets. The kids heard the story spell- bound and later answered the questions related to it. Some kids even made finger puppets and tried to make and narrate a new story. Apart from teaching the children about the importance of being united, this session enhanced the listening skills, and sparked imagination in the minds of our students.

Colours are indeed the smiles of nature… Red colour symbolizes enthusiasm ,life and vitality. RED DAY celebration is a wonderful learning activity that helps the tiny tots to sort and classify objects based on colours. Our ECC team celebrated Red Day on zoom. All the teachers and students wore red coloured clothes. The teachers taught and sang rhymes based on red colour. The students were excited to see the red coloured objects like tomato, fish, car coming out of the magic box. These kids learnt to make fish and other things with their tiny fingers and hands; which facilitated the development of motor skills. The kids enjoyed playing and singing the popular rhyme ring a ring o' roses; with their mothers holding their hands. This lovely session of getting introduced to the colour of love and happiness was appreciated by all.

Finger print & Collage in flower. Introduction to finger print and collage in flower, arts and craft activity done in our Junior classes. Art is the best way to express feelings and channelize the energy for our tiny tots. Collage is French verb meaning 'to glue.' A piece of art was made by the teacher by demonstrating and sticking different materials, in a creative way. The teacher guided the kids and instructed the parents to cut or tear some colourful papers into small pieces and later help the kids to stick these on a glued image. This activity helped our children to enhance the pre-writing skills and in development of fine motor skills. This wonderful activity gave an opportunity to our students to create a colourful master-piece.

Elocution activity was conducted during zoom classes, to enhance the communication skills of our little ones. All the students participated and spoke on the topic of their choice. The kids expressed and explained their topics confidently, without any inhibitions. It was a treat for our eyes to watch the kids share knowledge with their classmates, with correct pronounciation and diction of words.

Children of NURSERY group celebrated YELLOW DAY. Yellow... a colour of optimism,enlightenment and happiness.. Yellow also symbolises friendship. The children greeted their peers and bonded. The tiny tots dressed in yellow hugged their parent also dressed up in yellow and expressed sheer joy. Children with full zeal participated in sticking activity and made yellow sun. The rays of their hand made sun radianted a promise of positivity accepting the new normal of COVID-19.

Child’s early learning experience; deeply affect the future physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. Our ECC team of teachers created an element of surprise in the zoom session for tiny tots, with the magic box activity. Rhymes connected to the cute puppets of animals from the magic box were sung together. All time favourite action song, Rolly-Polly was also taught with actions to develop the motor skills. Later the session concluded with a fun-filled 'good-bye' song.

Concentration is the key while playing most games. Special session as a PLE activity, was conducted in which the students were shown, a part of a common object and time was given to them to guess and name the whole picture. This session was enjoyed by children and equally with the parents who involved themselves in this game too. A special workshop on ' A New Normal' related to prevailing circumstances was organized for teachers of Satellite School For Children. This workshop helped the teachers to be stress free and realise the positive attributes that they have acquired during the 'lock-down' period. We are thankful to the team of counsellors from Udgam School For Children, for sharing the importance of routine, mindfulness, positive attitude and gratitude.
