Harvey is a precious, sweet old boy. He's blind and feels his way around his house the best he can. He's a friends dog and he has my heart and soul.
Last night, I was able to see and photograph the legend that is PJ Harvey again in Chicago and it was all kinds of amazing.

With the 1st anniversary approaching of Hurricane Harvey, the storm that devastated much of Houston and surrounding areas on August 25th, we should pause to remember Harvey's Heroes, including K-9s 💛❤💜. Love you all for the heroic work you did (and continue to do). So many more to thank, but here are some of the officers at yesterday’s unveiling of Larry Crawford’s impressive mural honoring first responders and volunteer rescuers.

Just returned from a break in Norfolk, one of my favourite places especially Blakeney and the ever changing quay.
Northbound Buffalo & Pittsburgh train RISI grinds up the hill at Harveys Run with sand flying and the lead units notched up. This location is in the middle of an uphill climb for trains coming north out of Du Bois.

I've been making an effort to walk more and explore more, and my younger daughter has been a willing companion. We started a little late and weren't sure that if we reached the top we'd have time to get back to the bottom before dark, so we turned around early. No panoramic views, but a good hike anyway. Next time we'll go in the morning and time the ascent and descent so if we go in the late afternoon again, we can be prepared.

This is Harvey, a little lad with a fantastic sense of humour. He is the son of friends of ours but just loves hanging out with our horses and generally loving being outside rather than stuck indoors.
