Die App erfasst das GPS-Signal der Nutzer, registriert dabei deren Bewegungen und den aktuellen Aufenthaltsort. Bewegen sich die Spieler viel und laufen zum Beispiel an Sehenswürdigkeiten vorbei, haben sie dann die Chance die kleinen niedlichen Monster zu fangen.
Cologne is the fourth-largest city in Germany - and one of the oldest. A Germanic tribe, the Ubii, had a settlement here, this was named by the Romans "Oppidum Ubiorum". In 50 AD, the Romans founded "Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium", the city then became the provincial capital of "Germania Inferior".

A "Rheinauhafen" redevelopment project and reconstruction started in 2002 and was completed 2011. While the formerly commercial port is now being used as a marina, most buildings (some are former wharehouses) house numerous prestigious companies, posh flats and expensive restaurants.
The spires of the "Kölner Dom" are never far away in Cologne.

Harry-Blum, after whom this square is named, became the first directly elected mayor of Cologne in 1999. He only held that office for six months when he died suddenly in March 2000.
