I believe the pair produced three youngsters last year. The three may be supporting the adults in building this year's nest. The two extras seen in the tree a few days ago are a mystery. At least three birds were ferrying materials to and fro this evening.
A guy with a haggard face looks silently but directly into my camera as I take his photo in bright mid-afternoon sunlight.
He and his older brother-in-law have been working together for the past few Sundays now at the residential yard of a customer who has hired their services to make a certain number of concrete hollow blocks for the latter's home project. Both have many years of experience already in doing such kind of manual work.
Since both of them work separately for two local hollow blocks suppliers from Monday to Saturday, they can service the special needs of other people only on Sundays. And they are obviously more than willing to spend their usual rest days working just so they can earn more cash to spend for the Christmas holidays.
