Macro Monday: #HardLight

Backlit by sunlight through the living room window and deliberately overexposed. To prevent too many blown out parts I'd even set the exposure control to -0,7 EV. I do see the contradiction, underexpose in order to overexpose ;-), but the low February sun was so bright that it almost was too much. Processed in Luminar 3 and ON1 Photo RAW 2019 (the usual suspects: detail enhancement [small], microstructure, clarity, decreased whites/highlights, increased contrast and vibrance, tweaked HSL and curves, and brightened the background in Viveza). I have an image with better (correct) exposure, but it is a little on the soft side, and since the theme is "Hard Light"... And yes, that green thing in the lower left corner is a clothespin. It looked nicely odd, so I decided to leave it like that.

A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!

Two dinky dessert forks embracing.

Happy Macro Monday everybody! :-)

Today I spent the whole day in Halton Conservation Area. We had the first, warm Spring weekend. Even though I didn't see any blooming flowers or fresh, green leaves, I felt the presence of Spring.

This is one of the views, that I admired today.

A little hydrangea flower and it's shadow.

Lightsource: the sun.

The flower is not even 1 inch

Happy Macro Monday.

Growing Wonder! A Crocus!

Scallop Clam

The mollusc (or mollusk) shell is typically a calcareous exoskeleton which encloses, supports and protects the soft parts of an animal in the phylum Mollusca, which includes snails, clams, tusk shells, and several other classes. Not all shelled molluscs live in the sea; many live on the land and in freshwater.

Gracias!!

Hello friends, what do you think? The doubt has arisen when seeing the photos of a well-known group, based today on the hard light. This image, would you say that it has a hard or rather soft light? Thank you!!

HMM!

I was tempted today to visit the lake and the canal to see if the water was frozen, but the temperature is very low and the wind makes it worse and I don't want to get sick. Also, my wrist is still not 100% healed. In the meantime, I will continue uploading some photos from my vacation, just let me know when you get tired of them.

This was harder than I thought. I still might have been able to do better. I did not want to resort to B&W to make it easier. I like that there is still a hint of colour there.
