Sen-Ti-Nel Mechatro WeGo Kappa (Miyazawa Limited)

While we were enjoying the X'mas decorations at Santana Row, I spotted these restaurant workers cleaning up the window display for the next business day. This is a testimony of many hardworking folks still not able to enjoy their Holidays. I am very grateful that I had the whole week off.

The children at the villages enroute to Tonle Sap are probably the most special children I have ever met in my life. Unbelievably and infinitely happy when playing, even though they do not have many material comforts... And extremely responsible and hard working too. This girl was slicing very small fish (it needs tiny hands and a sharp knife to slice fillets), not sure what they use them for - didn't seem as if it was meant for cooking...

So engrossed in her work that she hardly noticed me. I squatted in front of her and waited for her to take notice of me. And when she did, I got this expression of surprise and amusement, not sure what would've gone through her mind. To me, this photograph is priceless. A nameless face. Amongst the hundreds that I met that day. And I hope that one day soon, I can give something back to them. These kids are special. Very very very special.

A heart and voice as big as Texas, a soul as bright as gold, and hardworking, calloused hands... meet my friend, Bill. A good sense of humor goes a long way, and has helped him to deal with aging, being broke, and keeping a song in his heart.
