This is my lovely dilute tort floof who loves to roll around in my breafast nook letting the sun warm her belly (which thankfully she also likes rubbed) and sometimes she gets so excited she literally falls off the metal part here. She also has the sweetest little meow that sounds more like a dolphin purring. We are getting into the prime season for cat affection...weather is getting colder and all cats want lap time. It's a great time to be a cat lover!

Moments after I presented Jane's new bed to her she laid on it like this and didn't move for a few minutes. It looked like she was trying it out in the same sleeping position she and I use when we spoon together in the big bed.
She did throw her big pillow on the floor but the little ones did seem enjoyable to her.
Looking at all of her toys and her name on her bed, she is clearly not spoiled at all. =^)

It was about 5:30 am when I took this shot and all cats and dogs were excited to play in the snow!

I'm posting an older picture.... again... I had a bad reaction to the medication used for the immunotherapy. It's been a very long and scary week. I don't think that there is anything more terrifying then when you can't get your breath. I was told that lung inflammation could happen with this treatment but we were hoping that it wouldn't. I'm unsure what happens now as far as treatment goes. It's rather worrisome to think that I will have to stop just when the cancer is responding so well.
I suppose that I better play with the boys as long as I'm able to. Both of the boys make me happy when they are playing with their toys and Elijah always makes me smile when he poses for picture. :)

...after 8 month in a shelter, because she seemed not adoptable. She was so stressed , that she was very unfriendly to all interested visitors...but we two "hit it off". :-))

Izzy: "While mum was taking photos this morning of chocolate eggs, I was happily napping and washing in the little bit of sunshine we had, though it wasn't very much.
Then no sooner had Mum finished taking chocolate than she started on me. Said something about needing to test out the 'sonic' on me and Rufus.
I didn't like the sound of that at first, but it seems she was just pointing another one of those picture making things at me ...again. It's Rufus's turn next mum."

I'm finally behind the camera again, though I used the cellphone as I was trying to get pictures of myself petting the neighborhood cats who show up on our porch for food. I couldn't get one I liked, so I enlisted hubby who gladly volunteered to pet kitties, and the kitties gladly volunteered to receive the petting. 😸🐈
Rena has lots and lots of toys and is mostly indifferent to them but she LOVES this little nylon tent that we got at Christmas time.
Out of the three openings she watches us, darts out and swipes our ankles with a soft paw and races back in. She can tumble it all over the floor. Sometimes she just hangs out beside it as you see here.
... with happycat on photo tour! it was a very strange sky promising a thunderstorm - that never came.
Does anybody know the name of this purple flower? Happycat tried to help me, but we could not find out, which flower we should choose:)!
Top to Bottom: Al, under the fern, and Mac, giving me the eye. Even in our oppressive heat these last few weeks, many of the cats enjoy time out in the yard! I cannot imagine staying out there in a fur coat! Nothing makes these guys happier than to race out through the pet door and play on the deck!

As I have said many times, we are SO lucky that our pride of cats -"the People"- get along so well! Here is Mango, Al, Mac, and Meg, sunning on the deck on one of the pet hammocks. I do not understand how they can stay out there in the heat, much less get that close to each other! When they sit on my lap or cuddle up around me in the house, they are too hot for me! Nobody should wear a fur coat in a Southern summer!

This is a miniature watercolour painting of a smiling cat.
I painted "Happy Kat" in 2008.
I used to paint for a hobby, I started with watercolour painting but found the colours rather dull, then I used acrylic paint, and spray paint, with these mediums I found the bright colours I was looking for.
I unfortunately had to stop painting a few years ago because of eye problems, so took up photography as my new hobby .... this I Love.
The topic for MM 10-02-2020 this week is painted, so I dusted of my old painting for the assignment.
I know it's not a great painting, he's a little wonky but my mother likes his smile .... so really that pleases me.

This is Mittens. I was in her face as she tried to take a nap. But being the good cat she is, we had fun.
Indoor cats love sunshine too. Tessa looks like she is outside the window but she's INSIDE on the windowsill.
Another sunny day today. Each sunny day brings leaves, on early plants, along by leaps and bounds.
My sister is kitty-sitting Marmalade for her granddaughter. Marmalade is the sweetest, friendliest, people-oriented, happy little cat EVER.
In this shot she is "helping" Sheila sew binding on a big quilt.

When Inky was an outdoor cat, she snatched many birds from our feeders. Even tho she was getting fed daily, she would catch and eat (I know, gross) the poor birds. Since she has been inside, I got her a new feather toy in hopes she might like chasing that around. The toy seems to be a hit. I captured her mid snap as she was going after it.
Nothing makes Tinker happier than when someone plays with her and this string. She will wrap herself up in it and follow you around the house until you play with her with this string. She wasn't too happy at this point because I was taking her picture and not playing with her. Happy Caturday, everyone!
