I have a bunch of wintery shots, but felt like posting this marigold with a cute, happy
I noticed these pretty flowers yesterday, and was lucky enough to catch them in the right light. This little bee was so excited, buzzing from flower to flower, he wasn't still for a moment. I love the way he looks like he's jumping onto those petals! This morning, the flowers were totally gone. I do believe they are some sort of weed, but I've never seen them before...they sure were lovely for a moment!

A Fistful of pollen !!
I was out watching the bees today, and unlike last year(s), every bee I saw was fully loaded with pollen. A good sigh indeed !!!
It's really worth viewing in Large!!
Bees!
Electric fences to keep the bears away. Bears do love hives but they don't want honey; they're after the grubs inside, which are a super yummy treat for bears.
Technically this is 301, but as my Leap Day photo was a bonus to the 365 - so that I end on the right day, this is the big 300!
The Happy Bee is worth 300 points on Packrat, and as I got myself a bunch of cute Packrat stickers from MOO, I thought it would be a cool photo.
I know the title's cheezy...but this little Bee was just sitting on my window sill, basking in the glory of the sun. :) He seemed so happy!!
(Now that I think about it...he might also have been dying....I will have to go check on him.)

Day 301.
The first batch of mead has been bottled so I was working on some label designs :)
In other news- this evening Martin and I ended up in Breary marsh, not the nature reserve around it but in the actual marsh proper. While squelching around trying to find a solid path through I couldn't help but remember that bit in "The Neverending Story" when the pony is eaten by the swamp, it was uncannily similar (minus the pony).
