I have no name....

I am whoever the keepers of my fate tell me to be

www.youtube.com/watch?v=xifVlgSAdQE

Like a Columbus of the heart, mind and soul .....

I have hurled myself off the shores of my own fears and limiting beliefs

I have abandoned the masquerade of living up to the expectations of others

In search and explored the new horizons.....

What it means to be truly and completely me.....

in all my amazing imperfection and most splendid insecurity.

Located east of downtown, it contains numerous cafés, restaurants, and shops housed within heritage buildings of the former Gooderham and Worts Distillery. The 13 acres (5.3 ha) district comprises more than forty heritage buildings and ten streets, and is the largest collection of Victorian-era industrial architecture in North America. The district was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988. [Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distillery_District]

A captivating night view of Fushimi Inari Oicy Village in Kyoto, Japan, showcasing a pathway lined with numerous tall, illuminated cylindrical lanterns displaying a spectrum of colors. To the right, a prominent traditional red torii gate, inscribed with 'FUSHIMIINARI OICY VILLAGE', marks an entrance. In the background, buildings with Japanese signage, including 'YOJIYA' and 'SOUVENIR SHOPS', are visible under the soft glow of hanging lanterns, creating a festive and inviting atmosphere.

Riberalta, Bolivia.

As old as the city, built in the hearth of the Amazons during the rubber boom in 1884, the hotel still retains all the character of the old gone greatness, wealth, and decadence of this part of the world.

Now a hub for the trade of the Brazilian nuts, Riberalta has many new hotels, popular with modern traders. Still, tha charm of this round-down place is unique. Waiting for the assault of Big Agro.

These were an interesting group of hanging lanterns that were in a craft exhibit at the Fair.

These lights were so pretty during the day! Captured with a Sony A9II.

This picture was taken in front of a restaurant in a main avenue, not very far from Pontocho area. Do you know what restaurant is it?

A corridor of light, each lantern carrying a prayer, a name, a wish. At Hozenji Mizukake Fudoson, the flickering glow bridges the seen and the unseen, illuminating the path of devotion with quiet radiance.

Fantastic atmosphere in London's China town, hanging lanterns look beautiful and the place is buzzing in readiness for the culmination of the Chinese New Year celebration and parade on Sunday.

A mesmerizing display of colorful lanterns lighting up the night sky, creating a warm and magical atmosphere.

Super easy project! You just use plain tissue paper in any color and fold into squares and cut (so you can cut multiple dots). Then adhere in random pattern...I wanted it heavy on top with it trickling down. I used Collage Pauge decopauge medium and it worked perfectly!

Oh and this would also be great for the medium and mini sized lanterns. Perhaps do a series of string lights in all different color tissue papers? Hmm hmm? It could look very interesting!

A closer look at Luminaries at Winter Garden atrium, support works. There through Jan 10, 2016. There are 650 luminaries, changing in a few colors, and of skewed off-cubic shapes. These are suspended above the grand stairs and sloping down and toward the west side - Hudson River side of the atrium.

As seen at Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, Japan. I love the contrast of these repeating black hanging lanterns against the bright orange. Shrines, which are called Jinja, in Japanese, are buildings used in the Shinto religion.

The Akita Kanto Festival is Akita's best known summer festival and one of the top festivals in the Tohoku region, attracting large crowds. It is held every year in the 1st week of August in Akita City in hope for a good harvest. During the festival, over 200 bamboo poles each 5 to 12m long, bearing 24 or 46 lanterns, weighing up to 50kg, will be carried and balanced by individual performers as they parade down the city streets. The festival has long historical significance. It is believed to date back as far as 1789 where it was first referred to in a travel diary, "The Road where the Snow Falls." In 1980, the festival was designated by the Japanese Government as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
