Macro Mondays: Blue

The crane is in HO format

We haven't had any snow all winter until today when we had a little and the rain melted it after three hours. Meanwhile there were a lot of birds hanging out with their friends, like this cardinal that was with his female partner.

Catching up slowly, thanks so much! 💕

This bushtit was hanging on just to get that special angle that others hadn't reached yet.

Taken locally, the bee was alive but very lethargic. It was very cold so hopefully it warmed up in the sun.

...die 1981 veröffentlichte Version des Stranglers-Klassikers von Hazel O'Connor gefällt mir immer noch sehr gut :-)

It feels great to slow down sometimes and having deep and meaningful conversations with good friends.

Refreshing...

Deep Blue Day

Fire Flag Plume Moth (Sphenarches anisodactylus) (family Pterophoridae)

One from last week. We have had a bout of a tummy bug through the family over the last five days, as often happens it came home from the school!

In the end, everything will be okay. If it's not okay, it's not yet the end.

One of several Marsh Wrens that were singing and bouncing around the reeds at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Smyrna, DE.

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.

In the garden today

Fire Flag Plume Moth (Sphenarches anisodactylus) (family Pterophoridae)

Only the second Plume Moth I have seen this year.I first spotted it on a Seaside Daisy in the breeze and then it flew to the grass. It was hanging on tightly in the stiff breeze.

I apologise in advance if I am slow catching up with your images.

I am not getting any notifications from Flickr, either by email or activity feed.

On a warm winter's day. . . the park near campus we pass on our walk home. . .

I couldn't get enough of the turning leaves down the road and photographed them 3 times. I went on vacation for a week and when I got back poof, they were all gone!

A rainbow lorikeet perched on the ornamental pear in my back garden today.

It is raining here. Keep dry and enjoy your post-Halloween chocolate!

A very small jumping spider hanging on to a leaf of a spider plant on the patio.

More from the dawn patrol with Eddy. Nice to see the cliffs and rocks behaving well after making an effort to be on site for the sunsire. Thanks cliffs.

Just hanging around the rain should have been the title. Nasty weather, but a pretty little Palm Warbler was a nice surprise.
