Headed out to the timber yard today with Krista and Greg to do some preparation for the build for the play. Laminating seven 4m long pine boards together as the basis for the sculpture that plays an integral part in the production.

The Second Irish Carriage Dog trial was held on saturday 16th April 2011 at Kilkea Lodge Farm, Castledermot, Co. Kildare - by kind permission of Marion and Godfrey Greene. Sponsored by 'Dodson and Horrell' manufacturers dog (Chudleys) and Horse feeds.
The purpose of Carriage Dog Trials is to demonstrate the use of Dalmatians in one of the roles they have been bred through the years to perform: that of a companion, decoration and guard for horses and carriages in past times.
It is both an endurance and obedience event. All dogs carry out a basic obedience test alongside their handler' horse or carriage. The aim of the obedience test is to replicate modern horse and carriage working environments, where the dog must be under the handler's control at all times. The endurance element scores each Dalmatian's stamina and capacity for work.

Since we were both so comfortable with this reticulated python, we became the go to visitors whenever the guide had to set down the snake to show people something else. Nelly should have been paid.
Afterwards, signing books. I watched him for a while b/c my turn wouldn't be for a good while. He gets really excited and becomes bipolar, where one minute he would be really nice and then the next minute he would be yelling at the top of his head. He mentioned how gay marriage is legal in New Jersey and then commented, "who would have thought that new jersey would be the leader in progressive thought" or something like that.
