While I was handcutting the garden grass, I met these two who were having a hot time !! Not many shots came out fine as they were extremely active and moving so fast !!! I love my macro lens !!!

i made one of the costumised/handcutted books for a project called 'Time New Roman', part of the Time Festival. www.timefestival.be/
as the title says its a sketchbook for a bunch of paintings i am working on, made on this years exhibitioncatalogue. I did it by cutting in each page and using some acryl.

i`m not a member in every natural history museum - but i had to transport some stuffed animals from there to bern. i cant vistit a natural history museum without leaving behind a gift... this is a handcutted stork from *SPARK* - i love him for these beautifull cuttings...

Un grazie speciale al babbo, fondamentale e insostituibile aiuto per la creazione della base in legno, a Serena De Angelis, artista-fotografa che ha molto gentilmente concesso l'utilizzo della foto da cui è nato lo stencil (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=435672693206544&set=a...) e infine un grazie anche all'amico Davide Scateni: sue sono le fotografie artistiche del lavoro completato. Un grazie infine va a Benedetta per aver permesso che questa intensa esperienza potesse aver luogo.
Cerri asked for a closer look at the framed silhouette (click on original size). It's a scan of a handcutted silhouette of my daughters (when she was 4) that I mounted on a tea stained book page from the Secret Garden ( got the stained book pages from my sweet friend Madai) and then I glued a small golden Dresden foil border around it. The cream colored frame is from IKEA (as well as the white iron table with he pretty wire edges it is standing on) The Silhouette page above is very old, I found a bunch of those fairytale silhouettes at our flea market this year. I like that the light in this photo comes only from the deep afternoon sun which was shining into my living room.

Wild Child rappresenta, sostanzialmente, un elogio della naturalezza, della semplicità, e della diversità. E’ un tributo alla pace dei sensi, alla profondità e alla bellezza.
Ma non è solo questo: Wild Child è ciò che non sembra e non è ciò che sembra, le mani non sono un simbolo religioso di genesi così come al centro non è raffigurata una bambina, bensì un bambino.
Ancora: Wild Child è l’esigenza che si materializza su di un pannello di dar voce a pensieri illuminanti di saggi uomini che hanno trovato risposte a cui non seguono altre domande, uomini che hanno colto il reale senso della propria vita.
Ma Wild Child è anche voglia di sperimentazione, di unire la precisione all’istintualità, di collegare lo stencil alla pittura pollockiana, di creare contrasti che si fondono in un’unica grande armonia.
