Shortly before route 10 lost its Shepherds Bush allocation and thus lost its Metrobuses.

13.8.2016. The first Brush Type 4, entered traffic at Finsbury Park in September 1962 as D1500.

Later renumbered 47401 and named 'North Eastern' the locomotive is now preserved at the Midland Railway Centre, Butterley.

17.5.2025.

BR Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4T No 80080 runs round its train at Hammersmith before returning to Butterley.

2.4.2022.

The '125 Group's' Class 43 HST Power Car No 43048 eases away from Hammersmith with its train for Butterley.

43159 was the trailing loco.

 

This was the first time that a preserved HST set had run on a preserved line.

Constructed around the same time as Tower Bridge. I do love Tower Bridge but I think this bridge is particularly beautiful.

Another dark cloud over Hammersmith.... This spring has been a bit grey in London. When is the sun coming too stay?

RM2153 (CUV 153C) was seen at Hammersmith Bus Station on April 5th 1994. Normal allocation at the time was RML class Routemasters.

A view of the Broadway. (CollectionFB)

This is the rear wall of the Palais de Dance, now better known as the Hammersmith Palais. It opened in 1919, but after the Second World War the emphasis gradually switched from dancing to live music. Closed in 2007, it is planned to turn the site into offices.
