I had this sitting in my camera for a couple weeks now. Figured I might as well share it.
After work and a trip to the doctor to check on my possibly broken little toe, I spent the afternoon devouring my copy of the newly published #hamiltome. Wow. I laughed and cried and can't wait to go through it again, this time with the soundtrack cranked up.
My cousin mentioned that she had an extra ticket to Hamilton in Portland and I was like I'LL GO PLEASE!! They live north of Seattle so I got a ride down with them the day after the Brandi Carlile concert--it was my weekend of live culture!
I went in completely new--I really like to have no notions or ideas, so I had purposely avoided listening to it or learning anything about it. I wanted to see it and get to know it fresh, you know? Definitely lived up to the hype!
It was really cool, duh, and man, the talent was incredible. I bought the album there and began listening a lot and slowly reading the Hamiltome and basically falling into the same wormhole that everyone else did a few years ago.
