FORT CARSON, Colo. – Soldiers of 4th Infantry Division embrace their Family members during a special halftime performance of the Denver Broncos’ 29-23 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Mile High Stadium's Sports Authority Field in Denver, Jan. 8, 2012. The Denver Broncos Football Club welcomed the Fort Carson Families onto the field to join their Soldiers during a salute to the 4th Inf. Div. Division Special Troops Battalion, who recently completed a 12-month deployment in support of Operation New Dawn. During the halftime show, Soldiers and their Families reveled in a standing ovation from the more than 75,000 patrons attending the sporting event. My wife and I traveled to Santa Rosa, CA on September 22, 2006 to photograph the 76 Woodstock statues (part of the city's “Summer of Woodstock” celebration), which by that time were all gathered in the baseball field downhill from the Charles M. Schulz museum.
Alice in Chains performed with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra at halftime. Pretty cool version of Zeppelin's "Kashmir."
