at 8am on a Sunday morning. Just after all the junkies have cleared out from under the halfpipe (oh, I'm not kidding), and before the sassy teens show up. Oh, the lessons we learn at the skatepark are many.
I particularly love that he's fully embraced the 'costume' of a skateboarder, just as with any other 'character' he's loved. I mean, camoflauge? Really now.
He called me to travel to this mini because he wanted to try his first no handed flair. Pulled for the 4th try.
This was a backyard mini halfpipe we built around 1988-1989 in Palmyra, NJ. We were about 14-15 years old at the time we built this.
Is this better than my other ski shot? The rider is higher with only the sky in the background. What about the snow flying off the board? Is that artistic and cool, or is it distracting? I like it. Again, I have 150 of these shots, and I am trying to learn what is considered 'good'. Thanks.
