گفتند که نامحرمی و بوسه حرام است
دل گفت که محرم تر از این عشق کدام است؟
بوسیدم و لب دادم و آغوش کشیدم
نامحرم من! محرمی و کار تمام است
A view of Halfmoon Creek near Mount Massive in Lake County this past fall. Such great fall color this year up there!
I saw this in the coming as I was driving in my car. When I saw it, the aircraft was about as much in front of the moon, as it is behind in the shot here.
I pulled the car onto the sidewalk and grabbed for my cam not looking at the moon. I knew that I would only get one or two shots. Kids screaming "what's going on?" obviously:p
I pulled the camera and fortunately I had the right lens on (70-200 with IS). I went to AV (Canon) and f 2,8 and turned the iso down to 100. The camera fired at 1/3200 sec. I focused again (I use backfocusing) and fired again. Refocused and got a third exposure. The second exposure was the sharpest and is the one I uploaded here.
This was shot at 200 mm so its a pretty solid crop and therefore not the best quality. Had to add a lot of noise adjustments.. I fired 2 more exposures but then the tail wasn't interfering with the moon and it looked like two different happenings.
Don't know what I should have done elsewise but it sure would be better if I had a 400 mm. But I don't think I ever will be driving around with a 400 mm ready for that random lucky moon shot:p
Anyway.. Hope you enjoy.. And I need help with a title.. Nothing comes to mind...
Edit: I choose a quote from Louis Pasteur as the title. He said: In the fields of observation chance favors only the prepared mind. End quote. I cut of the beginning and the end:p
The uploaded file was 670 kb.. Haha... Usually my jpegs are from 12 -18 mb..

Casting a rippled reflection in the Passaic River is ME SW1500 (EMD blt. Oct. 1966 as RFP 91) crossing the aptly named Halfmoon Trestle for the first of three times with the hospital train of former NYGL equipment leaving for the final time. The train is entering the town of Garfield from the city of Passaic on a gorgeous fall morning.

BNSF 2294 West is seen leading the Kalispell local westbound back to Whitefish as seen blasting by Halfmoon Rd in Columbia Falls, MT.
I was capturing some shots of an early evening moon when I noticed an airliner was about to come into the scene. I was excited that the plane was painted in sunset colours too! This is the closest I have got to a plane crossing the moon's face! What I also like about this shot, is that the same sunlight is of course being cast onto the plane and the moon.
The faint star to the right of the moon is known as HD 249183 or Gaia DR2 ... Magnitude 10.19 ............ I think :-)
28/11 - First Quarter. One more to go in 2025.
Now goodnight moon
I want the sun
If it's not here soon
I might be done
No, it won't be too soon 'til I say
Goodnight moon
