1: Clean the surface.

Looking up into the cyclone. The ring of spikes is the series of self-drilling sheet-metal screws holding the lid on, and is deliberately above the incoming airflow level. The black tube is the intake from the Protomat, and the grey tube is the exhaust to the vacuum.
