La Mariposa arlequín (Zerynthia rumina) es una especie de lepidóptero ditrisio de la familia Papilionidae. Debe su nombre español a los motivos y colores de sus alas, que recuerdan los del traje del arlequín.
Se trata de una mariposa de tamaño mediano que alcanza una envergadura de 5 cm Las alas presentan, en su cara superior, un ajedrezado de fondo amarillo pálido con manchas negras y lunares rojos inmediatamente reconocible y único, siendo improbable que se pueda confundir con ninguna otra especie en gran parte de su área de distribución. El ala superior tiene además una ventana vítrea cerca del ápice, mientras que el ala posterior presenta una serie posdiscal de ocelos rojos. En el sureste de Francia, sin embargo, coexiste con Zerynthia polyxena, de la que se diferencia por la ausencia de manchas azules en el ala posterior.
Especie tan solo presente en el suroeste de Europa y el norte de África. En Europa, únicamente se observa en la península ibérica y en el sureste de Francia.
En la península ibérica se la consideró en 1985 como en peligro de extinción, y su estatus se mantuvo con la revisión de 2006.
Habita en Colinas rocosas, lugares abruptos y claros de bosque, siempre vinculada a plantas del género Aristolochia, su planta nutricia.
En gran parte de su área de extensión, tan solo se observa una única generación que vuela de febrero a mayo según el clima. Aparece más tardíamente, sin embargo, en el norte de la misma. En el sur de la península ibérica y norte de África aparece una segunda generación en septiembre. Pasa el invierno como crisálida.
Las orugas se alimentan de diferentes especies del género Aristolochia, confiriendo los alcaloides tóxicos que contienen estas plantas (que asimilan sin degradarlos) una defensa contra posibles depredadores.

bourg même de Saint-Véran Situé en travers de la montagne de Beauregard,avait aussi pour nom, aujourd’hui inusité, de « Travers ».Il existe des villages ou hameaux situés plus hauts en altitude en Europe, mais Saint-Véran est la plus haute commune, c’est à dire que l’on y trouve encore une école, une mairie, et une église.Perché à 2042 mètres d’altitude, mesure prise aux marches de la mairie actuelle village profite d’un climat sec et ensoleillé, entouré de montagnes culminant à plus de 3000 mètres. Comme dans le cliché précédent , on voit que la sculpture sur bois a été longtemps autrefois un passe temps des longues périodes d'hiver dans le Queyras ... On en voit des témoignages avec les stations de chemin de croix dans l'église , ou bien encore avec les statuettes de bois sculpté de la crêche de Noel.... J'ai eu il y a bien longtemps le privilège de la voir en plein été malgré qu'elle n'était plus dans l'église.....

Lybia tessellata is a species of small crab in the family Xanthidae. It is found in shallow parts of the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean. Like other members of the genus Lybia, it is commonly known as the pom-pom crab or boxer crab because of its habit of carrying a sea anemone around in each of its claws, these resembling pom-poms or boxing gloves. L. tessellata is a small crab growing to a width of about 2.5 cm (1 in). The carapace is trapezoid in shape and the margin has a distinct tooth-shaped projection on either side, just behind the short-stalked eye.
