FAMILIAR black, grey and white bird. The Pied Wagtail has a bounding flight and distinctive habit of pumping its tail up and down. They love locations such as playing fields and supermarket car parks, where this one was captured, but I was willing it to go into a little grass area to get a better image.

The painted-snipe is not related to the true snipes and differs from them in habits, flight and appearance, being far more colorful and having longer legs than the snipes. It is unusual in that the female is larger and more brightly colored than the male, with the sides of the head, neck and throat a rich chestnut brown, and a distinct black band across the breast; the male is paler and greyer.
Mostly in the animal kingdom the males are more beautiful than the females. There are exceptions of course, like in humans, where females are far more beautiful than males. This bird is also an exception. The female is more colourful. I saw a female as well, but couldn't get her well on the photo.

Blue Potato Bush ( Lycianthes Rantonnetii ).
Lycianthes rantonnetii, the blue potato bush or Paraguay nightshade is a species of flowering plant in the nightshade family Solanaceae, native to South America. Growing to about 6 ft (1.8 m) tall and broad, it is a rounded evergreen shrub with a somewhat lax habit. A profusion of trumpet-shaped, bright blue-purple flowers with a prominent yellow eye appear in summer, followed by red berries. It is widely cultivated and may be hardy in mild or coastal areas. Though related to food plants like the potato and tomato, all parts of the plant are considered toxic to humans.

Le fameux peintre Ernest Meissonier habita et fit de cette maison son atelier, qu'il acquiert en 1846. Située sur le domaine du monastère royal des dominicaines où eut lieu un colloque sur l'église réformée en 1561 en présence du roi Charles IX, elle faisait partie des appartements de la prieure, dont il ne reste aujourd'hui que la partie droite et la galerie au-dessus du porche. Classée MH 1992.

Photograph taken in the surroundings of "Tudelilla". This is a small municipality of just over 350 inhabitants, belonging to the autonomous community of "La Rioja", dedicated to agricultural tasks, including vineyards, wine making and almonds.

Enclavado en el Parque Natural de Fuentes Carrionas, con impresionantes vistas sobre el pantano de Ruesga y los Picos de Europa, se encuentra el Parador de Cervera. Un edificio de moderna construcción, aunque diseñado para integrarse con el paisaje que le rodea, en el que la tranquilidad y el descanso constituyen sus señas de identidad.
El Parador está situado a 1.100 m de altura, en mitad de un Parque Natural y en una zona de la montaña palentina de gran belleza. Su decoración, modernizada tras una reforma en profundidad, está basada en una mezcla de clasicismo y modernidad, destacando la madera como elemento decorativo. Dispone de amplios ventanales con vistas al pantano de Ruesga y una sala con chimenea, donde podrás disfrutar de momentos de absoluto relax.
A solo 2 km del mismo se encuentra el pueblo de Cervera de Pisuerga, una tranquila localidad que aún conserva su carácter rural y mantiene muchas de sus tradiciones. Merece la pena dar un paseo por sus calles, respirando la paz y tranquilidad propias de una zona en la que la prisa no tiene lugar. Sus museos te ofrecerán una visión privilegiada sobre la forma de vida de los habitantes de esta región, sus sus costumbres, sus tradiciones y sus creencias.

Mésange noire (Periparus ater), Neuchâtel, Suisse.
La Mésange noir a la tête et la gorge noires, une tache blanche sur la nuque et les joues sont blanches. Le dessus du corps est gris bleuté et brunâtre. Le dessous blanc crème teinté de tache rousses sur le ventre selon les individus. Les ailes sont marquées de 2 barres blanches. Comme toutes les mésanges elle est très active et vive. Elle habite Surtout les bois de conifères ou mixtes, plutôt en altitude et rarement dans les bois de feuillus purs. Elle niche dans le creux d'un arbre, d'une souche, d'un muret de pierres ou d'un rocher, et peut parfois utiliser l'ancien nid d'un autre animal. La Mésange noire est la plus répandue et la plus abondante des mésanges en Europe. Elle est présente également en Asie.
