This is the letters H - M of my Northwest Natives Alphabet Set. The full set will be exhibited at G.Gibson Gallery in Seattle. Since the show is in the Pacific Northwest I thought I'd make a tribute to my neck of the woods. Every letter is paired with species that is native to the PNW (Pacific Northwest). Please stop by to see the show if you're in town.

"Do you know something? This physical and mental body is 86 years and 10 months old today. I was born in 1927, a loooong, long time ago. Long time before World War Two. You heard of World War II?

"Yes, yes I have. So you lived through the War?"

"When I was young a boy, in the year 1934, the bells ring out in ma ear. Adolf Hitler becomes dictator of Germany, in 1934. 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, a bigger bells ring out in ma ear - World War II declared! Sir Winston Churchill, was allowed to sit in the chair as Prime Minister of England. I’ll never forget, in 1939, all the world was in chaos, nobody to go to, the Germans bombing, England bombed them back - the whole world joined in. The world has authorities that you don’t know about, nobody know about them. He asked them for help, because the allies were useless. The world authority accept his application and you know what the world authority did? They built an atomic bomb, and when they dropped the bomb, the whole world submit before defeat. It was all over with them, millions and millions of people never came home."

The model was based on a fictional car that my friend built (www.flickr.com/photos/157131608@N06/)

There is a HOG and a working steering wheel in the cabin, rotating with the wheels. The HOG can be easily removed.

The doors open, the hood at the back, the trunk at the front (there is nothing in it, a lot of space is taken up by the steering system). Moves the spoiler, under the hood of a mini oppositional engine with 6 pistons.

The interior has been worked out. There are cavities on the bottom for attaching the model to the 42098 car carrier. Length-35stud, height-11stud, width-15stud (without mirrors). Distance between wheels-19stud

When I travel I don't like taking pictures of portraits of people on site because it gives me the impression of being a vulture looking for the perfect shot to be shown as a trophy to return, without thinking of the sensitivity of people captured, often treated as animals in a zoo safari.

Instead this woman of northern Vietnam, an H'mong ethnic group, specifically asked me, with gestures energetic and resolute, to be photographed because she wants to hang a portrait in her home, where she hosted us for lunch (our Christmas day). Now I will send the file to the local contact, hoping he prints and delivers the image, rather than keep it in his email, or worse, make it a purely commercial use.

-------------------------------------------------

Looks like this H has been cut at the knees! It's actually part of someone's name on a wooden panel near their house.

This really needs a better name but my mind is drawing a blank.

Loop H-bar side view, here you can see it's angled down a reasonable amount. Though this is recommended I expected to do it anyway following my experiences with butterfly bars. I also have the bar flipped for negative rise. This is not to get bar height correct as I have plenty of scope for that via stem etc. This was to make the flats position more useable. I find it much comfier on the flats, and corners, with the bars flipped than with them rising.
