andhi nām n chētai sabh bādhī jamakāl .

The spiritually blind do not even think of the Naam ; they are all bound and gagged by the Messenger of Death .

ਜਮਕਾਲਿ = ਜਮ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ , ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ।

( ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ) ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦੀ ( ਸਿਮਰਨ - ਹੀਨ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਨੂੰ ) ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।

ਅਰਥ:-ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ! , ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ !ਹਰੇਕ ਦਾਤ ( ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ) ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ।

Everything is Yours ; You are my God , O my Lord and Master , Merciful to the meek .
