Let it Be - The Beatles
"When I find myself
In times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be..."
I made most of the image with the new Beta Photo Shop. If you haven't tried it yet you might want to. It's fun to play with.
Happy Hump Day
I keep trying to do different looks to force me to try different things. But, I feel like I'm starting to get fixated on these shrimp boats and sunrises.
I thought my medical deal was on Thursday but It's on Friday. Ugh, one more day to think about it.
Seems strange to be running the air conditioner in February.
Honeymoon Island State Park, FL, USA
On the Gulf of Mexico, close to Palm Harbor, FL, USA. A segregated beach. For dogs and their people, that is. We were banned from the rest of island, although some laws may have been broken by us. My dog is very rebellious !
So the joke is, oil, being the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ..:) It's the best I've got and I'm here all week ..;)
I did it. I booked my room in Galveston for the Tall Ship Festival in April. The hotels are well aware of the festival. It took me a half a day to find one with a reasonable charge. I watched a video on You Tube and they take people out on the ships. Looking forward to that.

Things have started moving. Apparently, radiation in the neck area is hard on the teeth and it's a big deal if they have to remove a tooth once radiation has started, so all of my teeth had to be removed. It was very brutal and my face was black and blue. The radiation starts in a week and I haven't figured out what I'm going to do about my job. They are being very supportive. One, they like me and the other is they have spent a lot of time training me. I'm being told the treatment will last about 2 months. I'm betting it's going to be a long 2 months.
Happy Weekend everyone
I've always fantasized about living in a boathouse on the water. OK, probably not one like this..;) But than I wonder, where does body waste go? And where do I get the water to take a shower. Show, everyday would feel like a camping trip..lol..the never ending camping trip.
This is a Greek oil tanker leaving the port of Corpus Christi. Probably heading out to get another load.
Taken at PCB, for this area these waves were big, they also were fun. My son and I got exhausted fighting the current to get out and body surf!! We caught a few!! The next day the waves were gone. If life hits you hard remember, God will never leave you, and everyday brings new challenges and blessing's. This is our temporary residence!! Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!!!
What once was, is no longer! When Hurricane Ian came through, it took these structures with it. The small buildings could not take another strong storm. Over the years, little by little the sea and Mother Nature, had it's way.
BUILT IN FLORIDA IN 1981 on Ten Thousand Island which is south of Marco Island, and only accessible via water. The island belongs to a larger group of Ten Thousand Islands. The ultra-modern Dome House is a complex of stilted concrete igloos slowly being reclaimed by the sea.
They all do it-preen. It seems when one does they all do. This Willet looked so sweet cleaning it feathers I had to capture it to enjoy it up close.

The brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) is a North American bird of the pelican family, Pelecanidae. It is one of three pelican species found in the Americas and one of two that feed by diving in water. It is found on the Atlantic Coast from Nova Scotia to the mouth of the Amazon River, and along the Pacific Coast from British Columbia to northern Chile, including the Galapagos Islands.
The brown pelican mainly feeds on fish, but occasionally eats amphibians, crustaceans, and the eggs and nestlings of birds. It nests in colonies in secluded areas, often on islands, vegetated land among sand dunes, thickets of shrubs and trees, and mangroves.
It has been rated as a species of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. It was listed under the United States Endangered Species Act from 1970 to 2009, as pesticides such as dieldrin and DDT threatened its future in the Southeastern United States and California. In 1972, the use of DDT was banned in Florida, followed by the rest of the United States. Since then, the brown pelican's population has increased. – Wikipedia

Adult laughing gull in its winter plumage. Photographed on the beach by the Naples pier.
The laughing gull (Leucophaeus atricilla) is a medium-sized gull of North and South America. Named for its laugh-like call, it is an opportunistic omnivore and scavenger. It breeds in large colonies mostly along the Atlantic coast of North America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. The two subspecies are: L. a. megalopterus – which can be seen from southeast Canada down to Central America, and L. a. atricilla which appears from the West Indies to the Venezuelan islands. The laughing gull was long placed in the genus Larus until its present placement in Leucophaeus, which follows the American Ornithologists' Union.
It breeds on the Atlantic coast of North America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. Northernmost populations migrate farther south in winter, and this species occurs as a rare vagrant to western Europe. The laughing gull's English name is derived from its raucous kee-agh call, which sounds like a high-pitched laugh "ha... ha... ha...".
Laughing gulls breed in coastal marshes and ponds in large colonies. The large nest, made largely from grasses, is constructed on the ground. The three or four greenish eggs are incubated for about three weeks. – Wikipedia
For the great Angelo Badalamenti, wonderful musician and a true artist, who sadly passed away the last December 11th, 2022
“… we’re so fragile
We're so tender
We're exposed to the winds of the world
Won't you die, won't you die
A little deeper
Won't you die to this life thats holding you
If you stay, only stay because you want to
Don't hold on if it's true
When you die they will open to receive you
Let it go, let it go
You're passing through
When you die they will open to receive you
Let it go, let it go”
