Jon Cleary, British born, Grammy-winning New Orleans pianist, guitarist and singer. The best concert, in the best venue I have seen this year in Havana. The band included a Monster Cuban horn section. The jam-packed room in 'La Fabrica', the best place to hear concert in Havana, was in a party mood, swinging and swaying. Band members were Jon Cleary (keys, guitar, vocals), Cornell Williams (bass and vocals), AJ Hall (drums and vocals). 2 monster percussionists: Yaroldy Abreu (Cuba) and Pedro Segundo (Portugal), plus Monster Horn section: Emir Santa Cruz -sax, Trumpet- Christian Figueredo, Trombone-Juan Carlos Marin.
This concert alone was compensation enough for the cold showers, low water pressure, or no water at all, lousy breakfast, weak coffee and other shortcomings, in my Havana hotel.

Jon Cleary, Pianista, guitarrista y cantante de Nueva Orleans, nacido en Gran Bretaña y ganador de un Grammy. El mejor concierto, en el mejor local que he visto este año en La Habana. La banda incluía una sección de trompa Monster Cuban. La sala repleta de 'La Fábrica', el mejor lugar para escuchar conciertos en La Habana, estaba en un ambiente de fiesta, balanceándose y swinging.

Mientras, en la ciudad de de Cheverly (Maryland), Leo Farrell contempla el contenido de la maleta gris que acaba de abrir a martillazos - libros de genética molecular, notas para un artículo científico, dos trajes de color oscuro, calzoncillos y calcetines perfectamente planchados y doblados - y se promete a si mismo que, algún día, sentará la cabeza y empezará a ser tan ordenado, cabal y metódico como el popietario de esa maleta.
