Dutch bluesman Bo Brocken (stage name: Big Bo) plays his Blues from the heart and soul. He has been around for quite a while now, touring Europe and the world for almost 30 years, playing his traditional style Blues. Performing as a one-man-band, using a full foot-operated drum set, acoustic and electric guitars, resonator guitars and Cigar Box Guitars, he plays traditional blues in Delta, Piedmont, Misissippi Hills and Ragtime style. He definately has a way of doing it. In his own high-handed style, he pays tribute to musicians like Robert Johnson, Skip James, Muddy Waters, Brownie McGhee, Charley Patton, Blind Willie McTell and many others, back from the old days when the Blues was born and he does it in a very convincing and genuine way. Michael Prins is een Nederlandse singer-songwriter, geboren op 14 december 1985 in Giessenburg. Hij brak in 2013 door dankzij het programma De Beste Singer-songwriter van Nederland. In de finale versloeg hij zangeres Maaike Ouboter.
De zanger groeide op in Streefkerk en verhuisde later naar Haarlem. Aldaar werd hij uitverkozen tot beste lokale act. In oktober 2013 bracht Prins zijn debuutplaat uit in de vorm van Rivertown Fairytales.
Tijdens de shows op televisie bracht hij onder meer de nummers Close To You, A Fool's Pride en Poor Boys Blues ten gehore.

This trio from Germany, led by one of the best guitarists in the country, brings the raw energy of early rockabilly to the present and lets you see, feel, smell and taste (tooth through your lip) that rock 'n' roll ever had anything to do with rebellion.....
The wild schedule Saturday night we go in with primitive rockabilly, four men from the deep dark south with style.....place to be is De Grote Markt in The Hague...at the Wild Rooster Festival.....
Every year a great festival full of pounding Rockabilly / Blues / Gajun and this great band from France splashes off the stage and makes the crowd rock into their souls......
Some street musicians playing the classic Cuban song, 'Guantanamera' in Havana, Cuba. The tight crop was due to me only having my Sigma 135mm Art lens on me, and no more space behind me.

These are the winners of The European Blues Chalenge, they won that title with an energetic mix of old-school Ragtime, Gypsyjazz and Roots / Blues and it was their trademark rag "roll attitude that hit it.

Natty Bo is an internationally renowned DJ, MC, singer, and dancer. He grew up in Thamesmead, southeast London, and started collecting records at a young age. As a singer, he's a fantastic performer. Arno Loriaux performed last night in cafe / bar September in the center, it was a Bob Dylan tribute, it was a grand performance and enjoyed it very much.....
De populaire Haagse straatzanger Chuck Deely is maandag op 66-jarige leeftijd overleden in het Westeinde Ziekenhuis in Den Haag. De van oorsprong Amerikaanse zanger speelde sinds 1994 vrijwel dagelijks bij het Centraal Station en in het centrum van Den Haag, vooral rockmuziek uit de jaren 60 en 70. Hij componeerde ook zelf nummers in die stijl. Zijn stemgeluid deed aan Neil Young denken....het wordt stil in Den Haag, ........Chuck R.I.P.....
Na aanleiding van het boek Blauwe Zomer van Leo Blokhuis over oude Indo-Rock, gaven zij nog eenmaal een show weg in de Zwarte Ruiter, duidelijk is dat ze er na 60 jaar nog evenveel lol in hebben als destijds :)
Last week for the first time at the Dizzy Jazz Club in Rotterdam, to a band The Mourning Glories with covers of The roaring twenties in combination with folk music....also Arno Loriaux sings his music tones of Hank Williams.....
For a long time I saw Arie playing again last night, I enjoyed it and this is one of the many portraits I shot that night....
