A court in Ecuador has found Chevron guilty of massive environmental pollution and human rights violations in the Amazon, and has ordered the company to pay $8 billion to clean it up. But Chevron has vowed to appeal the decision, and clearly plans to stall indefinitely, hoping never to pay its due. So the Change Chevron team got together with our friends and allies at Amazon Watch, Greenpeace, Global Exchange, and Communities for a Better Environment (of Richmond, CA) headed down to Chevron’s HQ in San Ramon, CA, and delivered a message to the company: Chevron was found guilty because the company is guilty. Time to accept responsibility and clean up the oily mess in Ecuador!

When the rest of the family is out of the house, I like to crank up my music. I'll usually start off with some Crystal Method. Then, depending on my mood, move on to some Tori Amos, some Beth Hart. Linkin Park (I know what you're thinking, “Those pansy wannabes” -- but Hybrid Theory was a great album) and Orgy. Then to the serious music. Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor's earlier stuff, from before he and Marilyn Manson started acting like middle-school girls). Rage Against the Machine. Eminem. The music gets louder. Soundgarden, Rob Zombie, Kid Rock, Korn. I always end with Prodigy. Believe me, it's not the words -- it's the rhythm, the pounding backbeat, the crash of electronic and vocal sampling. But my favorite song? It's called "Smack my Bitch Up."
I'm so sorry.
It's my guilty pleasure.

Yesterday there was a mallard duck family with ten ducklings on this pool. Today, the family has six youngsters. This cat was seen on both occasions.

One of my biggest guilty pleasures, miniature Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
meet 'mr furball' the partner of Ol' Furry Face.
His crime? Being too smart for his own good. Not only did he enter the kitchen, but he forgot which way he came in. Disgraced, he leapt into the frying pan which, to his disgust, did not contain the peanut butter he thought it did. He was duly escorted off the premises by my opening the back door to the tune of 'Turn around silly, the door is behind you' as he stared hopelessly at the wall....
In between the buildings, there is a space outside for crazy cosplayers to strutt their Otaku stuff. These two characters are from Jackson's favorite fighting game: Guilty Gear. I took three pictures, and he NEVER PUT THE BEAR DOWN.
guilty because I don't pay for them - Todd snags them when he cleans the planes, and also guilty because I'm filling my head with mindless fluff, but that is also the pleasure of it, at the end of a stressful day, it is my Calgon moment.
