Pretty much how it looks at my house today, minus the mountains and beautiful forest LOL.
This was taken in Grand Teton National Park. Can't believe it is snowing yet again.
One of the famous barns in Grand Teton national Park. Autumn was late this year so we still had some beautiful colors in the trees in late October.
It's humbling to be in such a historic & iconic location where so many spectacular photographs have been obtained over so many, many seasons.
Remembering back to our trip this past Fall.....it was such a grand time in the Tetons. Enjoyed it with so many fantastic Flickr friends.
Nature served up a pretty epic sunrise on the Teton Mountain Range that morning. Turned out to be pretty lucky for us, as the rest of the week they were almost entirely cloaked by clouds.
Thank Y'all for taking a look.......
Comments & remarks are so much appreciated.
Have a Blessed & enjoyable Sunday.
Just back from a quick trip to Grand Teton National Park. It was so beautiful there. However, it only stopped snowing for short periods. We only saw the sun for a couple of hours in 4 days! The mountains never fully showed themselves. But it was fantastic! The wildlife was everywhere and the snow was incredible. In many places such as this, the snow was really to high for me to see over if I wasn't in the truck. Here I kind of put the camera over the mound of snow and prayed I would be able to get it while standing on my tippy toes. It was a true winter wonderland. Just what I was hoping for.
Will catch up with everyone as fast as I can. Can't wait to see what I missed. Hope you are all having a wonderful week!
Off to Grand Teton National Park! This was taken almost exactly 2 yrs ago at Oxbow Bend. Hope everyone has a wonderful week and I will catch up as soon as I get back.
In the winter bison must use their heads to move the snow to get the grass below. This big guy took a moment from eating to look at me.
To me Oxbow Bend is hardly recognizable in the winter. Again I could just barely see over the snow to get this shot and this was the only spot I could even get close. As luck would have it the sun came out for just a few quick seconds right before I took this.
The tracks were made by the coyote I posted earlier. He was fishing at a little open area just to the right of where this picture was taken. You couldn't see it from this vantage point.
Mount Moran rises majestically above Oxbow Bend on this still June morning.

Finally back on Flickr. Had a fabulous month off. Hope it gave Flickr time to get everything in order.
Spent some time in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. There were two young adults just kicked out by mom and not sure what to do with themselves so they hung out near the road. Spent many special hours with them.
FYI this was taken with a 600mm lens on cropped camera with ranger near by.
During the rut, we often hear the incredible, otherworldly sound of a bull elk bugling. But just how are they making that noise?
Until recently, scientists were stumped — the bugles reach pitches that are far too high to be produced by an elk’s voice box. It turns out there are two forces at work.
Use your binoculars to take a look at a bugling male – you’ll see that he is moving both his lips and his nostrils. That’s right: he’s roaring and whistling simultaneously.
And there......you’ve got the famous elk bugle.
We happened upon this handsome fella in early hours of daylight in Grand Teton National Park. He treated us to his bugle in the chilly morning air....
Have a great new week ahead !
A sub-adult grizzly just kicked out by mom leaning to survive on his own. This particular grizzly was lucky and had a sibling to hang out with for awhile.

When in Jackson Hole Wyoming, it's extremely difficult to decide your daybreak photography plans......whether to find/chase wildlife movement or sunrise landscapes scenes......
I passed by this colorful roadside spot on numerous occasions throughout the week, and kept saying.......Gotta stop there before we leave.
Waited until the last evening of the trip to actually do so.
Didn't know the little stream was there until we got closer......but it sure was a nice surprise...
Thanks for taking a look.
Appreciate Y'all !
Happy Fence Friday too !
I injured my hand the end of August and after a long ordeal of emergency room visits, appointments with specialists, and a pretty major allergic reaction to the antibiotics, I had surgery mid September. My hand is mostly healed and now that I'm able to hold a camera again, I'm ready to take some new pictures.
This was from the summer trip to Grand Teton National Park.

Sorry to say I won't be getting any more pictures of 610 and her family, on April 29th she kicked the little rascals out!
For the first time we saw wolves in Grand Teton National Park! I have placed a picture on my stream and below. They were fairly far away so quality not the best but we could tell they were wolves. When we first saw them they were beyond these trees. They then wandered into these trees and begin to howl. One of the most amazing sounds in nature. My husband and I were the only ones there it was magical. . We waited hoping they would come out of the trees closer to us but they never did.
Heard several reports of them while we were there. I guess they are becoming more prevalent in the park.

One of the many spectacular views along the Colter Bay Lakeshore Trail...it was our first visit to this particular area and rest assured, we will be returning to explore it more.
Have a great Friday, and as always, thanks for stopping by to visit and comment :)

The cool air this morning got me in the fall spirit. I started going through autumn photos and came across this one I have never posted.
A little different perspective on the T.A.Moulton Barn.
Shot this mid-day, so the shade really came in handy......
So view Large....and peek in....
Thanks for the visit.
Enjoy a Blessed Sunday !
It was a beautiful clear sunrise at the Snake River Overlook in Grand Teton National Park. But you pay the price for the high pressure system over the area...the temperature was -9 degrees F (-23 C)!
